No more Batman: next 'Dark Knight' ditches Chicago

After filming huge parts of the two most recent blockbuster Batman movies in Chicago, Warner Bros. is skipping town for the last movie in the trilogy — for Pittsburgh.

The Chicago Tribune reports that director Christopher Nolan’s next film, The Dark Knight Rises, will leave despite Chicago’s more favorable tax incentives.

Nolan’s first two films in the series, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, filmed scenes atop Chicago skyscrapers, chases on Lower Wacker Drive, and famously flipped a truck on LaSalle Street.

It’s hard to imagine Nolan’s Gotham without those iconic angles, and the cash Chicago’s missing out on is notable. The Chicago Film Office’s Richard Moskal said the first two movies combined brought more than $50 million into Chicago’s economy.

But there could be a steel — er, silver — lining. Another super-film Nolan’s working on with Warner Bros, Superman: Man of Steel, is rumored to be shooting in Chicago around the same time, heroically replacing the lost bat-revenue.

I watched The Parking Lot Movie a couple nights back.
Surprisingly well done.
If you have Netflix, it's on instant queue.

Watched Inception today. The CGI was awesome and it was definately entertaining. Knew from the beginning what the twist at the end was going to be.

I liked it. I think anyone who has worked in the service industry can completely relate to it.
Alot of people are asshats and treat you like the scum of the planet and have some preconceived notion they are better than you because they are the one receiving a service.
Reminds me of my second job, my first day as a register worker at McDonalds. I forgot to give the guy a supersize fry(accidentally gave him a large, a problem easily resolved). Pulled in there in a rusted out jalopy with his 2 kids and fatass trailer trash wife. Went on a fucking tirade in the middle of the store at me, told me this was "the only job i was ever going to have". That sort of stuff sticks with you when you are that young, it festered and I took it out on other people I served from that point on who felt the need to be a dick. I hate people that sit on their high horse, and you know what? The worst offenders in my experience were not rich people, it was the blue collar folks that felt the need to piss on you. Like the construction worker finishing his shift, stopping off at browns to get some chicken but doesnt waste any time berating his server who he feels is below him on the food chain, because he didnt get it in the time he thought he should or said he ordered something he didnt etc etc. Guess what asshole, i pissed in your gravy, and 3 of your pieces of chicken were overcooked by an hour hard as a rock and re-breaded to look fresh.
I seriously want to write a goddamn book about my experiences at browns chicken, it had everything from extortion, theft, strippers, pissing in food, sex in public, domestic battery, drugs, and my personal favorite, hiding raw chicken in the potted plants in the lobby, that was a doozy in the summer.
Holy shit that sounds like the craziest place ever. You really should write a book about it. I'm glad there isn't a Browns chicken here.

What was the twist at the end?
The top doesn't stop spinning implying he is still in "inception"/dreaming.
