I like the Poles hire, and really like the Cunningham hire. Yes I had no idea who he was a few days ago.. like I said in another thread, the more football people in between George and the HC is a good thing.

Pufferflus, I am not excited about - but do like that he will most likely be hands off with the offense and he seems like he does have an idea of what he wants schematically. If they bring in a veteran OL like Callahan I don't know how that can't wiggle yer mast.

Getsy is intriguing. He was already getting looks as a HC, so he probably won't be around long (if he has success).

EDIT: This looks like Puferflus getting jobs for his friends, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. That's how Arians works.

So I knew a kid years ago in school named Eber Cruz. Ultra religious dork. Like this kid used to try and have talks with me about how God couldn’t be “triune” and that was a sacrilege. (He was a J Witness). So I’ve been calling our new coach Eber in my head this whole time.

Close isn’t good enough. If Eberflus is the next Lovie it wouldn’t be enough for me.

What I can’t get over is Eberflus met with George and team and then Poles. Surely they asked what his plan was for the offense and how to develop Fields.

And his answer is to hire Luke Getsy??? And the Bears were super excited about that direction?

I liked Poles and Cunningham, but the reality of the HC market is short of Harbaugh there’s isn’t a candidate head and shoulders above everybody else. They’re all kinda comparable in a shitty way.
