HBK, I have degenerative discs in my back along with other problems with my nerves in my leg from hurting my self on my Airborne jump. The stretching and medicine will help only for a while bud. For me hitting the gym is the only thing that worked for me, painkillers would make it worse, and stretching seemed to help in spurts. I still deal with a ton of pain daily, but for me it is something I had to get used to. Best of luck buddy, I hope you start feeling better.

More on yoga:

How is yoga satanic?
I've seen yoga on TV and DVD and I didn't really see any evil or sin in it, so why do some say that it is wrong? I thought it was primarily to improve focus and physical tone.

When one practices yoga, they participate in an eastern mystical religious practice.

Even their own literature agrees with this. In one of the attached links, they even talk about a serpent, and higher consciousness. These are demonic manifestations, and you would be inviting them in your life.

Why would anyone consider this? There are those who say that you can separate the exercise component from the mystical, but that is another lie of the enemy.

People should flee from this, so they don't become a victim of the lie.

For Christians who like yoga, I refer them to what Paul says: "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot eat at the table of the Lord and at the table of demons. Are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? We are not stronger than he is, are we?" (I Corinthians 10:21-22)

And

"What harmony exists between Christ and Beliar, or what do a believer and an unbeliever have in common?" (II Corinthians 6:15)

And for those who claim to be Christ's, yet say that yoga is permissible, hear Jesus' words: "Why do you keep calling me 'Lord, Lord,' but don't do what I tell you?" (Luke 6:46)

Christ is the Living Word of God. His Word tells us what we should do. Those who choose their will over His, are disobedient.

do you actually buy into this garbage or are you trolling?

God is against stretching and taking care of your body?

Sounds like fuckery to me.

Technically yoga is a religious practice. Doing the poses to stretch and get healthy isn't. I would caution any fellow believers about the origins but that's about it.

Taking religious imagery from another faith and applying a christian paradigm to it is for sure some fuckery.

Its not like symbolism carries a cultural context or anything. zomg serpents!

I take my faith serious enough that I'm willing to investigate what may or may not harm me spiritually. Not meaning to come off crazy. It was being a little funny or trolling but something I have investigated.

Nothing harms you spiritually, the spirit does not exist. HBKtard's back on the other hand...

It seems more like a meditative practice to me, you are focused on breathing. Nothing wrong with mediation. Good for mind body and soul imo..

Did I say there was something wrong with meditation and breathing?

Yoga is a religious practice though.

I know the spirit exists while you hope it doesn't so you can continue to live self centered.

I'm trying out my prophetic abilities again. I'm just messing with you though since I seem to add this disclaimer to everything I post.

One of my buddy's wife is a "hot yoga" teacher and let me tell you, she makes the devil in me "pop up". .... So maybe Monk is on to something here ;)

This...I had surgery L4, L5, S1......believe it or not, if you can get the ab ripper from p90x, get it. That was the best thing that happened to me, amazing what a stronger core can do for your back.

Probably not the best place in the world to look for sympathy, but I do hope your back heals up quickly.
