So let me ask you something. Why does Grimson get banned (you said he was getting banned anyways) but The Hawk gets to stay with no punishment handed out? Excuse me for sounding like we're in 3rd Grade but The Hawk is the one who started with Grimson. Why is Grimson not allowed to defend himself without getting banned? Why is there a double standard here? It seems some posters (The Hawk, most of the packers fans) get special treatment and don't get banned at all while others get banned for silly things.

It's kind of like the NFL. Marshall gets fined for wearing green shoes, yet Rodgers and Brady don't get punished for diving, screaming at refs, taunting etc.

One day I would like to donate to this site but I can't do that until I know that the other posters and I will be treated fairly.

Nobodies really disagreeing with that (I just saw his post in the Bar), but again, why does one party get the boot over the other? I mean, the standard looks like if I start going back and forth with someone, I've got a 50/50 chance of not getting a ban.

Grims been banned 6 (now 7) times, 9 if you count the partial board bans. I think he lost the benefit of the doubt a while ago.

IMO, mods were looking for any reason to ban. He was considered a problem by them, and it was apparent. As soon as he gave them a reason, he got the axe..

Which is fine, but you gotta hold everyone accountable if you are going to over mod. Again, investing in another site is fine, but you have to be quite upfront and fair to all parties. Rush bought out IHN and took away what many of us appreciated about the site to conform to the certain peons here; Which was not what was advertised to us at the beginning.

Had we known this was going to happen we wouldn't have moved here and would of made our own simple Hawks forum on some cheap site and done our own thing.

I do like the site here and the posters, especially the amount of posts and different opinions. I don't like the over moderation, especially in the Hawks forum where most of us were told it was going to be like IHN and when non hawk board regulars jump in and light fires we get the boot because we go overboard. Fucking either shit or get off the pot.

Here's an idea:
Since this part of the boards has seen more than the usual mods around, why not just give the parties a 12-24 hour ban, make sure it's known why they got the ban, and we all move on and cooler heads prevail?

I thought about donating as well, though I was waiting a bit to see how things shook out with us IHN guys before pulling that trigger.

While I don't disagree with you Trev... I'm not sure I have seen the over modderation in this forum really? What do you mean? The only real moderation we've done has been with Grimson and that's the same as IHN. Unless I'm forgetting something. Other than that this forum has been pretty untouched, I know I"m too lazy to really do anything.

Over moderated might be the wrong term, but what is considered a ban able offense here wasn't much of a blip on the radar before. Plus, the consistency sucks.
