A head scratching moment: Tyson Chandler. the DPOY, didn't make the All Defensive First Team. How many times has that happened?

Another head scratcher: Someone voted for Carlos Boozer. Also Joe Johnson got a first place vote. :dunno:

Chandler not making 1st team (after winning the award), Kobe consistently making the 1st team over guys like Battier and Sefolosha, LeBron getting more votes than Dwight Howard, and Boozer getting a vote at all makes "All NBA" awards into a huge joke.

I think Vinny Del Negro was the coach who voted for Boozer. I'm not sure if any other pro-coach could be that Special person.

The reasoning is pretty simple...

Chandler was voted DPOY by writers...the coaches vote for All-defensive teams.

Kobe consistently makes first team because he is a superstar who happens to be a good defender...all it takes when you are a superstar...ask Michael Jordan.

Lebron got more votes than Howard...because he was the best defender in the NBA. Lebron can guard Howard (any doubts about that now?), Howard cannot guard Lebron.

I agree with you on Boozer.
