If the Bears are trading down for a package like that, they’re going to have to trade down more than one spot.

These trade down scenarios are setting the bar way too high.

Yeah right.
However, the next matchup between the Bears and Lions could be interesting as each tries to out tank each other for a better draft pick.

The only way that happens is a bidding war so if they're planning on a bidding war I want to know who the other team(s) are and what they're offering.

To move up one spot? That doesn't seem remotely plausible.

"The 49ers traded the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft to the Bears for the No. 3 pick, a third-rounder (No. 67), a fourth-rounder (No. 111) and a 2018 third-round pick (No. 70)."

That amount of draft capital to move up one spot seems like way too much.
It is, but the value for the #2 pick would be of similar value.

Hell Bears could do a trade like this and then trade down again for moar.

incredible as well as not happening

Definitly not but I agree if a bidding war starts the Lions could end up giving up 3 first round picks to move up even a single spot.

Jesus! I'd be over the moon happy with #3 and #13 for #2.

Yeah, I'd be ok with not getting the "same division tax" to move back one spot and still get your first choice.

Reality is the Lions could give their 2 firsts and that would almost cover the move.

I think you're a 2nd rounder - 3rd rounder off. But that's from memory, it could be a 3rd - 4th. Either way you don't need to give them a good deal. If they want to move they have to pay the price.

The mockers have to come up with a new mock every week until April of 2023. So almost every possibility, however incredible, will be put out there.
