Well of course. That goes without saying. Nobody is suggesting the Lions or any team would give up a ton of draft capital to move up if nobody else was bidding against them.

Pretty sure Ryan Pace is still in the league

if the Lions really want to go QB, AND Have to surrender 2 1sts, they probably call Houston in the hopes of acquiring Bryce Young or stay at 3 and select Revis or Stroud and keep their picks
I think they will probably be content to stay put, maybe even trade down, and roll with Goff one more year. Possible pick up a stud DE/DL or trade back and pick up a 2024 1st in the process. I for one am not impressed with CJ Stroud, and although I might consider Young if he fell to 3, don't see that happening.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Michigan Wolverines
  2. Purdue Boilermakers
I am seeing now that they have reshuffled the Rams and Seahawks, what happened, SOS adjustments?
Doesn't matter, the premise of this thread was the Lions (via the Rams) held the #3 pick. Any and all of my comments are based on that.

But the Rams and Seahawks play each other twice yet.
That trade makes less sense for the Lions than the Lions leaping Seattle. Bears have a tenuous hold on the #2 pick anyway, based on SOS.

Always consult the draft trade chart for approximate ideas on value. That's a 400 point swing which is alot closer to their 3rd and 4th round selections combined.

And it probably wouldn't take that much to get Chicago from #2 to #3, knowing DET gets their QB and Chicago gets the pass rusher they would have taken regardless.
Draft chart is literally meaningless when teams are trading up for a QB.

And the crazy thing is that if the Lions gave up all of that but Stroud/Young/Levis actually turns out to be solid then they'll have won the trade.
