Jesus... a testicle tax... I know here in VA if they catch wind of your rabbis vaccine they'll send you a dog tax in the mail. It's crazy.

Same here. We took our dog to the vet and a bill came from the county for "registration".

No fun getting a pet fixed. In DuPage county they have a testicle tax, a 3 year tag for a fixed animal is $40, for "Intact Animals" it's $90. It's like a metaphor for what the government is trying to do to the citizens.

https://www.dupageco.org/AnimalControl/1142/

I think concerned DuPage residents should rise up and stage some sort of 'Wheaton Tea Bag Party", I always wanted a Tricorne hat.

Fucking registrations for everything in this damn country.

Edit: Although I do keep my dogs registered because they are fucking pitbulls, and its like 6 bucks a year here. I cannot bury my pitbulls in the yard like I can with my guns if they try to get me to register them... :dealwithit:

I am seriously planning on getting a third dog, and this one puppy in the crate thing really fucks with me. I think the other dogs would try to chew the puppy out. but at the same time I have brand new furniture (Thanks Bubba) and I do not want to have to do that all over again.

Not sure how the whole one dog in two dogs out would work that seems really strange to me.... Also never have I ever crated a dog before, and my dogs have back yard bathroom access.

Really depends on the puppy and the other dogs. I've never left a 1-3 month old puppy free in the house. Will be piss and poop (he called the shit poop) everywhere.

Put the puppy in a crate in a separate room. I can't believe you let your other puppy's roam for an extended period of time. There would have been piss all over my house if I did that lol.

Yep. The one I crate is a rescue and has separation anxiety, so she gets destructive after a time if she is out. Very destructive. Hence she gets crated now, which has removed stress for the whole house. She goes in there on her own all the time.

The other dork I leave out because I have had him since he was a pup and he's good when he's out.

Golden Retrievers are one of the smartest dogs you can have right behind Yuck poodles and border collie. They are also one of the most faithful loving pet you can have for a family. Mine would have licked the thieves to death while they were clearing me out and he was a neighborhood favorite when he got out.

Unfortunately the true purebreds tend to get hip dysplasia. Mine was 9 when this picture was taken the day before we had to put him down because he could no longer walk. Probably did not help he was 115 lbs which is huge for a Golden.

Sorry for your loss. Goldens are always great dogs.

As a new Australian Shepherd owner, I feel slighted you didn't included them on the smart list!

I was simply going off the internet's smartest dogs. Do you know how it pained me to write the word "poodle"

1. Border Collie
2. Poodle
3. German Shepard
4. Golden Retriever

99 Chihuahua and Bulldog Mix which is right next to him.

I was sitting in the family room one day and I noticed drops of blood on the floor where my golden had been walking. I kept a close eye on him and sure enough the little one had been jumping up and biting him in the nuts trying to play. This of course when the little one was just a pup. Now he is the elder statesman.

Yeah my ex wife had a few poodles and most of them were pretty smart to my surprise.

I had a Chihuahua bite me on the back of the leg 10 years ago and I still have the damn scar. Thing came out of nowhere. Not a huge fan, but I've met some cool ones. They seem a little hit or miss as a breed. Mixed with the bulldog I could see him being different.

I had a husky until I gave him to my dad on his farm for more room to actually live and run. They also had a few Jacks. Those two were also extremely smart. Husky was the most bull headed dog ever. Same with the Jacks. Minds of their own. Those jacks are killers though. Nothing made it out of that yard alive.

We got a mutt from a rescue shelter, Vet says she is an Aussie Beagle mix. Definitely the dumbest dog I have ever owned, probably the dumbest dog I have ever seen.

Great pooch though, totally cool and sweet, fun to play with, fetch, tug of war. Maybe the strongest dog for her size I've ever seen, she's 30 pounds and is as strong as most 60 pound dogs. Thankfully she is very gentle, never bites, we wrestle all the time and that dog could easily snap my arm in half.

I have no problem with my nice idiotic dog, I'm not looking for ideas, just LOL's.

His nuts are officially MIA. He hated me for 24 hours, but has come back around to being my homie again.

Great pics. Maybe give him something special for dinner or a snack today. Piece of steak, chicken...
