His throws have been great lately. Seems to be chest high all the time now

Outside of about a 2-week stretch, Castro has been damned close to GG caliber this year. Still has a way to go... but he's obviously much improved. Everyone likes to bash his 29 errors last year, but he only made 8 after the ASB. This year, he had 2 truly awful weeks.... and has been spectacular since. He's gone form like an 80 error pace to 25... and dropping. It's been a while since his last error... and he's only had 3 since late April.

Many of the recent error calls have been on some pretty tough plays. Wasn't his last one on a throw where it hit the runner.

People like to give Castro hard time. I think people forget he is just 22 y/o. Most 22 y/o are in AA learning. This kid already been all star, hit .300 twice, and lead NL in hits.

Totally agree. Great hitter but no way I build future structure around him. RT/ @MikeyVoges: Castro has all the tools, none of the #Want

just stupid media that watch 1 inning here or there

Castro had a pretty bad bobble that was a deserved error but otherwise all of them could be considered tough plays.

he did get E when he was playing in shift in OF grass. Ball hit grass and bounced up on him

Everything he's swung at is at least within the zone or close to it so I'm not that annoyed. If he swung at a pitch in the dirt, then that's lame.

I read the tweet, and it is what it is. He needs to be part of a winning team in order to put those to rest. Unfortunately he is probably going to have to wait for that to happen.

Reminds me of what they were saying about Beltran when he was in KC... he kinda proved them all wrong with his stint in Houston.

It was kind of a generous call but the little red ball on Gameday was straddling the outer boundary of the outside edge of the strike zone

Too close to take with 2 strikes.
