The bears offense was also mostly terrible because of the quarterback.

Not sure how a tight end helps the qb when Caleb didn’t even look at his tight end last year
Maybe that’s the point. Make Caleb trust the middle of the field.

How does that make the pick any less stupid?
No games have been played. Until then I will trust the guy most Bears fans were sucking off to understand what he wants for his offense.

If Loveland sucks then that is on Johnson but you meatballs and the media dont know shit.

The Bears have two huge TE that can block and catch. That helps the overall offense. It's just time for CCS to stop believing that only one TE was needed and that it ever made any sense to draft a rotational trench player with a premium pick.
Jalon Walker falling out of the top 10 kinda screwed us. He was universally mocked in the top 10 and is still on the board here at #15, which is kinda nuts. I wonder if we would have taken Banks there at 10 if the Saints didn't scoop him.

Who should we have picked otherwise? Walker doesn't fit us. Mykel Williams could easily just end up being a good edge setter against the run but not a pass rusher. Could have taken a shot on Nolen/Harmon/Grant I suppose. Reached for Conerly? Keep in mind we've got Caleb Williams, so when in doubt, support him with another weapon.

I know the Jags paid a lot, maybe too much, but he's one of the best WRs (if not the best) and the best corner. He'd have been a top-10 if he was exclusive to either; instead he's a top 10 at both. The question will be can he stay healthy.

Says the guy with the most meatball takes on the entire forum 😂

Bro, you're an absolute tool. I don't give a **** about your shitty football takes

They probably could've traded back and STILL got Loveland

So go with a rotational TE player with a premium pick? LOL
You should get out more, I promise you will find out that two TE packages are much more common than 3 DE/DT/OG packages.

Kmet is an inline TE. Loveland is a move TE that will get a ton of snaps

Only so many balls to go around. Kmet is now a 13 million dollar blocking TE. I guess Johnson really values those slightly undersized hybrid TE types.

That man is a beast, had a small hope Detroit would get him. Thought he was a little under the radar, but guess not.
Green, Enwuzarike, Nolan,Jhnson and Zabel still good possibles for us, Jalen Walker and Zabelas well

Warren is a bit of a T-Rex for his height. Loveland is longer, quicker and more of a natural pass catcher. I see this pick as one being made to give Johnson a full arsenal off rip to run HIS offense —— a pick to stack the deck for Johnson so that nothing holds him (and Caleb) back from dazzling THIS YEAR.

ATL clearly taken the most time of anyone to pick so far - i choose to take that as a sign of weakness.

I'm not convinced that Kmet has a long-term future here now but we'll see. Kmet isn't a great blocker or anything. He plays softer than his size.

But to @remydat's point, you can't say Ben Johnson is an offensive guru and then rip the TE pick to shreds if our offensive genius sees Kmet as a dud and needing to be replaced in a big way to help out our prospective franchise QB.
