I have disagreed with a few of Poles decisions and have said so. I did not like the Brisker or VJJ picks. I didnt think we needed to sign Edmunds. I would have traded down. However at the end of the day I will judge Poles on whether those decisions work not cunt about it before any games are played or one season.
Welcome to the fold my brother. Good to have you.

Jalen Carter didn't fall to him, the pick was gifted to him by the Bears. Anyone else could've offered literally something and beaten his offer.

No Carter fell to him because the Bears and the other 8 teams ahead of the Eagles clearly did not want to draft Carter.

And yes someone could have beaten the offer but Poles obviously didnt want to risk losing Wright. Like I 100% would have traded down but all that matters is whether Wright ends up good or not. Crying about it now makes no sense.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Illinois Fighting Illini
If this is true I’d quit if I was Poles to save face. This ownership and it’s fake “I’m just a fan” but always making these stupid decisions has to end. At least own up to it. I let ole George thought and if I didn’t know who he was I’d have thought he was there for make a wish.

I been watching the Bears most of my life. Ownership has done some janky stuff behind the scenes. Remember, Poles
didn't even do a HC search from scratch. The org. gave him 3 HC's to choose from......unfortunately.

For those that would have taken Jones over Wright simply because you think he's a LT. Watch Mike Martz for 5 minutes breakdown just a handful of snaps from Jones. He is the definition of a project. Some of the things you'll see in this video are down right laughable in terms of technique and you'll never find snaps like this from Wright, anywhere. Jones could turn out to be good, lord knows he went to an organization that has a long-standing track record of developing offensive lineman, but make no mistake he is not ready. If he had to play tomorrow I'd be shitting bricks if I was an oline coach for an NFL football team. Mostly due to a lack of experience. He has little of it.

They are at the beginning of year 2 of a full teardown and rebuild. You are seriously crying because they do not have starter level depth at probably the second hardest position in the NFL to lockdown? Get a grip on reality.
I am not crying.

I am just stating that, if they had drafted Broderick instead of Wright, they would have had that starter level LT who could move from RT to LT in case of an injury to Braxton.

This is reality, no matter what you want to believe.

I have already said that I like the pick. I just don't love it.

Who says Jones is starter level? He is considered to be more of a project so may in fact not be starter ready.

Carter was wayyy too big of a risk for the bears. I'm fine with Darnell, would have liked broderick more. I'm willing to bet Carter being in another car incident within the next two years.
Carter could not have fallen into a better situation.

The team has a ton of leaders on both offense and defense and he has around 4 teammates from Georgia to be his support system.

That defense is going to be SO good.

They don’t need Smith. They already have Reddick
Is Reddick coming up on needing a new big payday? If so then they just replaced him with a guy on a rookie deal.

I like Braxton and glad they are not asking him to change positions. He made a huge leap up in competition and did very well considering. We knew all along his strength was going to be a weakness but should improve in year 2. He's extremely intelligent, dedicated and professional and I see no reason to believe he will not continue to improve. He's a huge part of our running success the way he can move and block on the run.

I wanted a RT over a LT and they got my first choice. Wright is probably the best pass blocker, has a high ceiling and only got serious about football last year and improved dramatically when he did so. Arrow is pointing up.

They are in no position to be making choices on top 10 picks based on versatility to cover for injuries. They have 9 more picks this year, 9 picks next year and the most cap $ to spend again next year. I think they got the player that will help this team and Fields development the most and that's what they are supposed to be doing.

It's not reality my friend. Jones needs a ton of work before he's a competent NFL left tackle. If they throw him to the wolves week 1. He will have his share of struggles.

I am at least relieved that Nolan Smith, Bryan Bresee and Myles Murphy didn't slide to thirty-second overall. That would've been real brutal.
Joey Porter Jr is there and what a great story it would be for him to get drafted by Pitt who his dad made his career with. I mean i'd rather the Bears be there to draft him but...................................

PHI is stacked. One of the few teams that can really do BPA
Yeah but they no longer have a 4th round pick in 2024 so there's that. Ummmmmmm...................................

That is why he would have started at RT, just to give Fields a chance to see if he lost a block.

Wright has his own problems to deal with, which will be easier to handle as he improves.

But Wright is a Bear and Jones isn't, so let's hope that Wright becomes an amazing RT and Braxton becomes the iron man of LTs and never gets hurt and becomes much stronger by training camp.

What if we drafted Broderick Jones and he tore his ACL? What then?
