He looks a lot bigger than 215. That may make him a bit small, which is problematic for a power back. His workouts numbers will be pretty important. You can't really deny the production or that he is a gamer. He'll probably be a good player in a competent system but suck if we drafted him
If he has good short-area burst, then really it is about if you can get the OL to help him get to the second level. From the highlights alone, he looks like a competent guy that will work well in any Shanahan-style offense (but if that was the goal for this team, Kalel Mullings is also in the draft and would be a fine prospect)

I would like to see this team have a threatening receiving weapon out of the backfield who can also pass block. I would like to know if this Skattabo is that sort of player, but I have not seen a lot of ASU football and do not recall seeing him make a reception beyond the LOS (and honestly, I do not recall how he performed when asked to help in pass pro).

He made that pretty amazing catch down the sideline against Texas when the DB first interferred with him and then facemasked him after the catch.

Easy pass on this guy

It's like the meatballs haven't seen how slow the bears are at the skill position...let's draft more slow guys!
Well, to be fair, it's not like Swift or really Roschon, for that matter, are particularly good at getting hard yards, fighting through contact to pick up a 3rd and 2 when the hole ain't there. I could see someone compact like Skattebo being beneficial to our offense, but we can't afford to use picks on day 1 or 2 on a RB. We just can't. Not now, anyway.

Moore and Odunze both run in the 4.4's. That's not slow. Think Swift does too.
If you watch nfl games, it's clear the bears don't have similar speed to other teams

It's about how players are used also. Neither Cooper Kupp nor Puca Nacua are burners, yet highly effective weapons for Rams.

How bout a DL/OL?

This is the same goober who said jeanty aint good but likes cam scootybooty

Bears issue isnt running back.
Well, yeah, obvious enough that I didn't feel a need to mention it.

To be clear, I am in favor of OL/DL with picks #10, #40, and #42 and then use #74 on Skat.

Also, none of it matters cause we all know they will hire a disastrous HC.

The fact that Poles hasn't been fired as of yet is a pretty clear indication that the organizational rot is firm, and will ensure continued failure.

If im drafting a mid round rb its not a slow one to run behind a shit OL

Swift is perfectly fine if you upgrade the OL.

I'd be ok with him in the 5th-7th round.

Wasnt that where he was projected prior to a strong playoff?

Not trying to overdraft an RB based off that. We all saw how he looked when the OL was not opening holes for him. Absolute great performance vs. Texas but there are a ton of players who are great in college but terrible in the NFL due to athletic ability. This dude seems like one of them.
