The NFL came out with it's list of head coaching candidates recommended by it's career development advisory panel.

Here's a link: https://www.profootballrumors.com/2017/12/nfl-recommended-head-coaches

Dan Campbell (Assistant Head Coach/TE coach, Saints)
Jim Bob Cooter (Offensive Coordinator, Lions)
John DeFilippo (Quarterbacks Coach, Eagles)
George Edwards (Defensive Coordinator, Vikings)
Josh McDaniels (Offensive Coordinator, Patriots)
Matt Nagy (Offensive Coordinator, Chiefs)
Matt Patricia (Defensive Coordinator, Patriots)
Jim Schwartz (Defensive Coordinator, Eagles)
Pat Shurmur (Offensive Coordinator, Vikings)
Dave Toub (Special Teams Coach, Chiefs)
Steve Wilks (Defensive Coordinator, Panthers)
Mike Vrabel (Defensive Coordinator, Texans)

Most of these names we've talked about. The one I didn't know anything about was Dan Campbell. Not a long NFL resume but he was interim head coach for the Dolphins for 12 games. What perked my interest of course was the Saints connection. He wasn't there when Pace was.... but we know how much Pace idolizes Sean Payton. A recommendation from him would probably go a long way. Anyways.....probably a long shot to say the least but I thought it interesting.

Like that list but not sure about the order.

I would be cool with any of those guys really. I don't want McDaniels after his stint in Denver. Worried about how much control and responsibility Patricia really has over that defense. Say no to LaFleur and DeFillipo.

What have you seen from Patricia that makes you say he'd be a good coach? Patriots defense isn't exactly lighting the world on fire this year, and they spent a lot of money in the offseason on that side of the ball.

Oops, skipped right over 1 no. no, no, no, no, yes, nah, maybe, nope, no, maybe, nah, no
You have someone in mind? If you've stated it, I didn't see it. Honest question. Not a big fan of any of the names being thrown around myself, but that more has to do with lack of faith in the organization to find a talented head coach.
