Amen on the XP. It's like EA doesn't believe losing is a learning experience, very maddening. It's shit like that, especially after being robbed of big time XP on tasks because of "goaltender interference" *ahem*, which makes me put down the game and move on to something else.

What would be cool to up your skill faster is if they had like training mini games.

I would be in full support of that. It'd help take the sting off scenarios where you get robbed of XP because your team played like lobotomy patients, a chance to re-coup some of those points.

No bad TSD bad. Mini games ruin games. Now if you want to have something like a training camp before the pre-season fine, but during the season NO THANK YOU. I am already pounding out 82 games a season, I dont need to be wasting time with mini games.



Now what would be cool (and I think it should only work on the superstar difficulty) is if you light it up in the CHL, you go first overall and you go to like an 80 overall. Basically you are a phenom like Kane or Crosby. But to prevent everyone from being able to do it, it would only work on superstar difficulty

Thats the gripe I have about attributes. There should be a way to gain XP faster. Although if they did that, it would kind render unlocking the attribute boosts useless (and you know they dont want people to unlock them, they want people to buy them).

I think a training camp scenario would fit best though if you went that route. I think working out the entire off season would be two much but two weeks prior to pre-season would work, it would add some realism to the game without bogging it down with too many mini games.

I wouldn't mind mini games if they actually were ones that helped you get better. I actually enjoy them in other sports games. I've always wanted better practice options in the NHL series.

On the practice scenario, I thing a good medium on it would be a chance to recoup points, but *only* for a small amount and only for the amount of days between games. I.E. if there's a day break between games, you can practice once. 2-day break twice. No break, no practice. Any xp you get is minimal, but a chance to gain some.

I do think it would be neat to add interviews to the game, like madden has/had in their superstar mode. Depending on how you answer could change how the AI reacts to you. If you are an Avery asshole they are more aggressive against you or if you are a Sakic type they show you more respect. Would be kinda neat. I do want the option to pull a Heatley and demand to be traded.

Also, I still dont have the damn Jets jerseys. I imagine it should have been an auto update....nothing, still default to the "nhl" jerseys.

This jersey crap is just ridiculousness. the new 3rd jerseys I can understand but for fucks sake, get the damn jets home and away jerseys on there.

I think the game went gold prior to the unveiling of the jerseys and EA Canada (based in Vancouver) are a bunch of useless fucks. If there is a smart way to do something, they avoid doing it that way like the plague.

I am surprised with how games are becoming these days, they arent going to start charging us for the 3rd jerseys as DLC.

I just discovered this. For the legend stats I didnt realize it only counts progress you actually made, i.e. no simmed stats count. I was simming through a game and my guy got a hat trick in the first ten minutes and I intervened to try and score a 4th to get the 4 goals in a period stat. I did, but it didnt count.



Then i had a hard on for wanting to get that one, I was goaless for three games in a row, then scored 4 in 15 minutes on 5 shots. I swear to God, sometimes I am doing everything right and cant score a goal to save my life, then I'll have a game where everything i throw at the net goes in.



and for the nucks its always fucking burrows that seems to slip from my grasp. Whats worse is when I couldnt check him, i fought him and he kicked my ass, I have shit for fighting skill. In jr's I could pretty much mop the floor with anyone, in the NHL I get owned in fighting.

Want the secret to fighting in the game, throw punches, seriously, start mashing the button before you at in first person and dont stop until one of you is dropped. dont waste time with the jersey tug when he pulls back, dont ever bothering to pull back. Fight old school, throw throw throw throw and dont stop until it is done.



Also I fought some nucks and wrecked them. 3 fights 3 Ws. I tried to find the Tie Domi belt button but no dice.
