Well, the Preds get stronger on the blueline. And yet they will still suck.

Well, looking at the division:
Chicago, Colorado, Dallas, Minnesota, Nashville, St. Louis, Winnipeg.

Locks: Chicago, St. Louis.
Probables: Dallas, Minnesota (though it is possible that just 3 or up to 5 from our division make it to playoffs)
In the Mix: Nashville, Winnipeg
Fat Chance: Colorado

A couple moves and Nashville can get back to somewhere near where they were before Suter jumped ship

I didn't even realize that Weber was signed through the end of his life (okay, only 2026, but you get the idea.) They keep stacking the blueline, but at some point they really need to realize that you still have to score goals to win games.

Not going to miss seeing Clutterbuck in a Wild sweater at all.

LeBrun just tweeted that neither GM will comment on the reported trade yet.

Holy shit....did not see Schneider getting traded for the 9th pick. Poor Vancouver. That is what happens when you sign guys to ridiculous deals.

The Canucks turned down a first, second, and a prospect from Edmonton. Big reason why they are stuck in a rut.

Nice to hear them congratulate the Hawks for winning the Cup tho.

:andruw:

Poor Luongo will never get away from that place. They would have likely bought him out if not for the ridiculous amount of money they still owe him.

I'm sure the Vancouver fans will be real excited to know they are keeping a goalie they have been trying to dump for a year.

And more importantly, one that does not wish to be there anymore.

And that's why knee-jerk reactions to every move (A CCS favorite!) are such a bad idea. Each little move is usually part of a bigger plan. Worked out pretty well last time, eh?

Or well thought out "ideas" like Bolland for Selke

Vancouver now has Tortorella and Luongo, two guys I would not want anywhere near my team. Good luck with that!

Hawks' pick, Ryan Hartman, described as "best agitator in the draft", and "a pest". Shaw-like. I'll take that.

Local kid, from Dundee.

If he ends up being a 3rd line winger, then its a good pick.

Also: he has more offensive skill then Shaw does. I'd see him more as a Merchand-type. They must be VERY high on Raanta because the best goalie in the draft was sitting there still. I hope the pick works out!
