In each round he stole at least one game from the opponent.

Most of you fuckers wouldn't know a great performance if it hit you in the balls.

Niemi was a Conn Smythe candidate. An argument could be made for him deserving the trophy. Sure our defense is great, but Niemi bailed the Hawks oot COUNTLESS times in the playoffs. This is something Huet really never did.

Hadn't revisited this thread in a few weeks. I see that I have taken some shit. That's just fine. IMO Neimi was fine, I just don't think it's like he was the best goalie in the playoffs. Yeah he made a few big saves. Halak made many more big saves for his team and he is gone.



Kudos to Niemi, I hope he reigns supreme. I'm just not married to him.

The initial point of this thread was to note that it appeared Niemi had filed for arbitration.



His agent was on WSCR yesterday and said nothing about arbitration. Also, it's being reported by Jesse Rogers that Niemi is one of the Hawks RFA's that has been qualified.

Hawks have to qualify him prior to Monday. Then Niemi has the right to ask for arbitration if he doesnt like the offer the Blackhawks make. The same process holds true for Hjalphabet except he doesnt have arbitration rights yet.
