No love for the Ice Crew (article)?

A buddy of mine who works in advertising (buys ads from the hawks) told me they were fired because the team didn't like that some of the girls were becoming really popular and starting to get outside endorsement opportunities.



What a joke, why would you punish someone for being well liked by your fanbase? That makes a lot of sense :?

I wonder how much about this the Hawks know and how much Wynne has kept to herself.



It was said she said the Hawks brass would not vote for them, but that doesn't mean she wasn't lying.

sonny is correct in some of his statement. The brass was not happy that one of the girls posed for Playboy. Team mates were even told not to go to the Playboy party to support the calendar girl either otherwise they would be punished.



Ashley L was told by management to drop her talent agent and let the Hawks be her agent and main focus. That is a joke.



I know the girls have other plans in the works. If I am correct there is a City Road Watch at Market this Friday for the Hawks v Wings game. It will be VETERAN girls only and not a Blackhawk sanctioned event. So If you plan on going you will see some of your favorite veteran girls from last year and who knows who else.

Well, if they weren't selective, the potential for pissing off current sponsors exists.

Long held as one of the most glam parties in River North, the Wednesday Y Bar soiree got even more so last night when it hosted a Playboy casting call to find a ‘bunny’ to represent Y Bar at The World’s Sexiest Party for Playboy’s 50th Anniversary in June. Last night’s winner will go on to compete against other Chicago winners at Playboy Bunny Competition at The Horseshoe Casino on Thursday, June 10th.



Out of 22 girls, 7 were selected to shoot with a photographer, and Jenna Martinelli (of the Blackhawks Ice Crew, who has been featured in Time Out Chicago, dontcha know) emerged victorious.
