thats whay a lot of fans kept saying before the season when a small group of us had the wings ahead of the hawks. if you are building a team around a model, that model should be the wings. if he signs for 2 years and is old, he will play on the bottom 6, still a very serviceable player and much better than the "old" brunette if we are going to talk about signing old guys, we have to look in the mirror as well.

they are actually pretty stacked, might not be the exact same as the hawks, but pretty damn good. they are the model franchise in the NHL, I dont see that changing anytime soon. We have to stop latching onto things that we may be slightly better at and look at the whole picture.

Yeah well, I'll lose more meatball status - Detroit's record speaks for itself. Their 'down' seasons amount to a playoff choke; the Hawk's down seasons had amounted to not even being able to give away tickets (granted that was under WWW but still not all that long ago).
