I'm sure this has occurred to you previously, but have you considered the fact you may have a mild form of depression, perhaps clinical?

Maybe some pharma-meds are the solution for you.

I've thought about it. Sometimes I don't think it's depression, other times I think it could possibly be. Either way, I'm wary of taking drugs to fix myself. That's always been a last resort fo me.

I go about life just fine for the most part. I eat healthy, exercise, and get enough sleep every night, which helps a lot. I'm just trying to find a way to change my mindset and find my passion or whatever. There are a lot of things in my life that I'm unhappy about, but I know there are people out there that have it way worse, and they're still able to live a happy(ish) life. Idk, we'll see.

I bought a new dryer last month and it just broke. I was pretty depressed and then I read this thread. I definitely have some winter blues going, but that doesn't really seem to be what you're experiencing BNB. We're the same age and my only advice is whenever I'm bored or bummed out, I find that it is stemming from my career. When it comes down to it, we spend a lot of time working and when I've been in a position that I liked, I tend to feel happier in my personal life as well because you don't dread getting out of bed and your days aren't full of shit. Maybe look into a career change/lateral move/promotion?

My job can drag me down sometimes. I got a promotion a little over a year ago.... but I think my new boss has made it worse. She's a pretty big micromanager, which I can't deal with. I'm someone who likes to do my work with little constraint, but this lady.... shit. There's also a lot of favoritism/bias at my workplace, as I'm sure exists elsewhere as well. But anyone who knows me knows that I can't stand that shit. Even if I'm the beneficiary of said favoritism, it bothers me because I want to work for what I get. I think that's the competitive side of me haha.

Exactly the same here. Especially knowing it can never be cured and 13 doctors can't even figure out what's causing it.

Not happy that you're going through a similar thing, but it's nice to know that there's someone who knows where my head's at.
