I see ur mamma raised a swift one. I'm pretty sure most of us are over it. Doesn't mean I'll forget the guy key in helping me see the SC for the first time in my life time.

To me it's more than that, he was a blackhawk player (not that I was alive at the time) and a great broadcaster (Still a favorite). Has brought more than just the core to this organization and even though he's gone I'll always have an appreciation for what he did. He didn't just bring in players, he helped shaped them into the players and leaders they are today. He left a mark on the organization, just like other great people have on other organizations. Such as Bowman in Detroit, minus the 1000 championships.

100% agree. Won't forget him for what he did though. And I'll thank him every time I see him.

Surprised and not surprised. I thought they just resigned him for one more year earlier this summer?

No way does Beach make it back to Rockford through waivers. Someone crappy team (Calgary or Florida) will take a flyer on him and bring him over.

Not surprised that McNeill and Clendening were sent to Rockford. Olsen got punched due to the depth we have and his lack of foot speed. Still think he makes the team next year.

No way was Hartman making this team out of camp and Terravinen wasn't going to play here this year anyways.

Again, having depth is nice.

Agreed. I wanted him to succeed with us, but really if he was fighting for a 4th line slot with guys like Morin and Bollig, he's gott a put up a much better showing than a good hipcheck.

From what I was told they had a really hard time sending TT back to Finland. He was very close to being kept on the big club THIS year.

I think Leblanc is the guy Pirri has to beat tonight. Pirri needs to go out and play hungry.

IMHO if i was in charge, I would have Smith, Morin, and Bollig contiinue to fight over the last open slots. Hayes hasn't necessarily looked bad but those three look hungry.

I figure Bollig with his experience and grit prolly already has a spot. Plus he's a goal scorer now. :eek:ccasion-clown:

er, maybe not.

Quenneville used to dislike cutting guys, but now he’s cool with it

So who makes the team? Smith, Morin? Maybe Hayes? I haven't seen Pirri yet. Did he play in the first two games vs. the Wings and the Pens?

LeBlanc, on the bubble or AHL?

LeBlanc has some interesting skill but still loses his check way too often to be on a good NHL team. AHL of IHL, IMO.

I'd tend to go with Smith, Morin, Hayes to get the next serious look.

Pirri skated at South Bend Saturday and I was saying he was AWFUL then found out he was hurt, so who knows. He's gotta got the Rockford and at least get his skating legs and timing I think.

We sure have a ton of bright young guys a couple years away...if even most of them all improve normally (not even tremendously) we're gonna have a ton of guys for a few spots in a few years. Great problem to have.

I am watching the Hawks right now and think Kostka might be an upgrade at 7th D over Brookbank.
