read an article saying Beach was the "biggest Blackhawks bust of all time"

you guys know how I feel about Beach, but this article makes it even more obvious that these reporters just started following the Hawks in 2009

Looks like they let Lalonde go, kuc is reporting he's signed in Germany.

Beach and the new Toronto Dman two way contracts 550k per cap hit. As figured. Now for Pekham.

He plays with some grit. Could spell Bollig on occasion, or if he gets (gosh forbid) injured. Good depth signing, IMO.

Just heard about Winchester on the Powr Play on the NHL channel at Sirius. They are grading GM's. Lombardi got dinged on his grade for Carcillo.

I hope your being sarcastic because Stan has done an excellent job bringing back 90% of the team.

They didn't need a "veteran off-season signing"

They needed DEPTH in Rockford, which he's clearly adressed.

And having good depth for calder Cup run is good for prospects growing. Experiencing a championship at any high level is a good thing.

More like some asshat had to sign Huet and no one wanted Khabi's Cap it. Although it may have turned out well because who knows if they'd have made the WCF's that year and gained the experience they needed with out Khabi.

I'm shocked Beach stayed. There must not have been much interest so hopefully he can prove his critics wrong.

Beach really doesn't have a choice. If the Hawks qualified him (which they obviously did) the only thing he can do is reject it and play anywhere BUT with another NHL team. By qualifying the Hawks still hold his rights.

The kid had some injury issues, and got caught in a log jam due to the NHL lockout. With a good camp, I could see him possibly making the team.

Bickell-Toews-Kane

Sharp-Pirri-Hossa

Saad-Kruger-Shaw

? - Handzus - ?

You can fill those ?'s with either Bollig, Hayes, Morin, Beach, Leblanc or Smith.

Nice to have depth eh?

Toews and kane wont start the season together and probably wont play on the same line until game 4 of the conference quarterfinals when we are down 2 games to 1.
