I'd love to see him stay but there is just no spot for him on the roster where he'd play a substantial amount of games

It's tough to score from the penalty box

Bickell was drafted in '04...didn't make it full time until 10-11

Even last year, people wanted him "waived"

Some take longer to develop.

I hope your're right. To me he just seems like a hot head skating around the ice with a chip on his shoulder.

I guess I was spoiled with the Hawks' two previous first round draft picks.

Bickell's AHL numbers - 228gms - 51g - 58a - 109pts (.478ppg and .223gpg)

Beach's AHL numbers - 162gms - 37g - 35a - 72pts (.444ppg and .228gpg)

I don't see any problems with letting him stay in the system and develop. May make it...may not. Playing with an edge/having a chip on his shoulder isn't a bad things for some players.

EXACTLY The kid has all the tools to be a very good 2nd/3rd line NHL'er

For those of you who remember he actually MADE the team right out of the junior hockey but ass clown wouldn't allow DT to trade Khabby to clear cap space and he had to return to the WHL

More like some asshat had to sign Huet and no one wanted Khabi's Cap it. Although it may have turned out well because who knows if they'd have made the WCF's that year and gained the experience they needed with out Khabi.

I'm shocked Beach stayed. There must not have been much interest so hopefully he can prove his critics wrong.

Is it a 1 way or 2 way contract? I can't seem to find that answer.

They probably don't know. The Hawks do not release anything in a timely fashion. Especially compared to other NHL teams.

They specifically told me on twitter "They" are not in the business of reporting specific numbers. Arrogant, or as arrogant as the old organ "I" zation in many respects.

I don't think any team officially releases contract numbers. It seem there is a lack of Hawk insider who could get these details.

No there are a lot of teams that release numbers directly.

read an article saying Beach was the "biggest Blackhawks bust of all time"

you guys know how I feel about Beach, but this article makes it even more obvious that these reporters just started following the Hawks in 2009
