My dad bought a new leaf blower/vacuum. I was out there for almost 3 hours today.

But, it was worth it. Front of my house looks so much nicer. Would've taken alot longer if I only had a rake.

So, anyone upgrading to X-Box One tomorrow or waiting?

$500+(not even counting games...etc) seems pretty steep.

Nah, waiting for the inevitable price drop. Maybe next year this time, depending on what NHL15 looks like...then again, I may go to Sony's system this time. Its not only cheaper but looks to be a bit better. Sometimes change is good.

I'm planning on waiting, but all of the sudden I have a strange suspicion my GF may have pre-ordered one.

I finally had a look at my skates after I guess since about late 2007. And well you know those terrycloth skate things?

Don't ever use them ... if you put them on your blades and then forget about them for a few years (which can happen if you no longer live near an ice rink)... basically it keeps the damp near your steel -for an extended period.

This pretty much kills your blades.... the damned stuff looked a bit like bubble gum (not the type of stuff that can be sharpened or whetstoned off.). Luckily they weren't all that good anyway ... so there are another pair in my near term future -as I am pretty close to some rinks again.

It will be interesting to see if this old fart still has my shot. I know that I don't have the wheels (I didn't in 2007 ... so it would be fairly odd to 're-find' those :).

With our temperatures dropping well below freezing here for awhile, all I see around here are frozen ponds, just begging for someone to skate on them. Thinks it's time to dust off my ice skates, too. I've been playing roller hockey for the last 3 years but I still can't wait to get back out on the ice some time.

Heh, I haven't played or even skated in over 20 years. My once hard as stone ankles have to be completely shot by now....I'd be ashamed to even try.
