So, basically Poles has traded his 2 early 5th round picks for later round 5th round picks and obtained two later round 6th rounds picks.
He must really like some guys in the 6th round?

I suspect he will be signing a vet WR after the draft.
I just hope Poles has some kind of plan, because right now it looks more like he tore up a draft guide, threw the pieces in the air, and decided to take whatever landed on his desk.

Odds are, yeah, but the same is true for the 5th round. Now we have a better shot of finding good players simply by volume. Hard to say how it will goes, but strategically I like the moves.

I’m guessing Poles has a room at his place like Nagy’s.

Snoop Conner was a dude I really liked. He looked so smooth catching passes at the combine. He also has size. Damn.

That, or the Bears just don't see that much difference in what they could get early in 5 vs the 6th round. So, you look to double your chances that a couple of the guys develop into something.

Or, as Biggs seemed to suggest earlier, maybe they can take one of those late round 6th or 7th picks they now have and trade for a veteran player that would otherwise be cut.

Damone Clark is still out there too. Thought he would go higher.

Love what they're doing. They need more picks. The draft is more or less a crap shoot from the lower 4th thru UDFA with different scouts having that whole group in varying orders. So turning three of these picks into seven just makes sense for a team with a new GM and HC trying to build their own team.

We have a ton of late round picks. I would not be opposed to taking a shot at Carson Strong and just putting him on the practice squad for a few years. You just never know with QBs.
