Hopefully Velus learns to catch a ball and Mooney comes back healthy.

Those 3 would ensure defenses can't stack the box. Might be the most speed I've seen at the position for the bears ever.
You know it. Sweeps with both VJJ and Scott on the field could be deadly. Especially after Justin keeps it and runs up the gut a couple times...

Love everything I heard from todays minicamp, except for Velus being back on punts.

I want that man no where near punt return duty. Dude has butterfingers.
I agree. Personally I thought it looked like he was afraid of contact. Hard time focusing on the catch when he knows what's coming next.

Seems like the offense is inconsistent. The DBs are at full strength though with both mooney and claypool out which probably makes a difference. On the bright side some hope that the defense is improved.
Early days obviously.
Thanks to everyone posting updates much appreciated ?

My theory is he's returning punts until Scott is good to go with the offensive playbook and then Velus is bye bye. Would assume they don't want to overwhelm him with too much too early but the writing seems on the wall.

What do you see as the WR corps at season start?

I’m thinking (in no particular order):

Moore
Claypool
Mooney
Scott
St. Brown
Jones Jr.

I think they end up giving VJJ the nod over Pettis, but could see a scenario where it goes the other way.

Pettis vs st. Brown for the final spot. Pettis is a more useful player but st. Brown gives you the big bodied blocker they love.

I think Pettis & St. Brown beat out VJJ for the last spot. I don't think VJJ is a particularly good football player beyond being fast with the ball but I hope to be proven immensely wrong. I think they'll default to Brown & Pettis because of their superior blocking abilities and they'll show VJJ the pink slip.

So ultimately Moore, Claypool, Mooney, Scott, St. Brown and Pettis are who I think they wind up with when the season starts barring injuries or an additional player added via free agency.

I think VJJ stays only because of where he was drafted lasted year. Think the Bears take a chance on him over someone like Pettis or St Brown. Either way, between the 3, none of them will be big contributors. But maybe VJJ actually pulls his head out of his ass

Where anywhere does it have anyone on record or even background saying that the ‘locker room’ is getting annoyed with him? Sounds like erik lambert is just mad that you burned his croissanwich at breakfast.

Edit: you added silvy video lol. That’s a step up from fansided I guess

They're so starved for content on June 14th that Claypool being out is the end of the world. Shit is hilarious. It's OTAs, who gives a shit?
