You remember very wrong then. Fields was the only QB I wanted in that draft and thought Jones was a solid system QB at best.

I'd take that deal. My concern with trading out of position to get Anderson or Carter is that we might be missing out on an immediate impact D-lineman as a result. Burns gives us that, and we get a first next year (likely to be a good one) and effectively trade up a round a year early (3rd next year for the 2nd this year).

More than likely if they trade Burns you only getting one other first rounder out of them as they were asking for 2 firsts for him. If they can get 2 firsts then then better off just trading him for 2 firsts and then offering 3 firsts and some change for 1.

Yea I've kinda lost hope that we'll get a crack at selecting him. He's gonna be in that sweet spot where he's just high enough to not warrant our higher pick, but gone before we choose again in the 2nd Rd.
All of my current mojo is reserved for JSN falling to us since all the experts seem to have forgotten about him atm.

Came right in and was able to run the offense, which wasn't surprising considering his high floor and his experience running the offense at Alabama. I never wanted him, never thought he'd be great and certainly didn't think he was the next Tom Brady.
