I'd take that deal. My concern with trading out of position to get Anderson or Carter is that we might be missing out on an immediate impact D-lineman as a result. Burns gives us that, and we get a first next year (likely to be a good one) and effectively trade up a round a year early (3rd next year for the 2nd this year).

I have no problem with the Bears trying to upgrade at QB, but not with a 5' 11", 195 Lb. little fella. Who was the last sub 200 Lb. QB that had a quality NFL career?

The best I could find was a Bears QB named Bernie Masterson. Most passing yards and TD's for a guy that weighed less than 200.

Yeah, he was born in 1911.

So if the Bears can find some tiny defenders to play against, great!

You remember very wrong then. Fields was the only QB I wanted in that draft and thought Jones was a solid system QB at best.

I really just remember you saying he looked good at some point. Could have just been a one off comment hence why I said @dbldrew is the main one I remember.

I’ve been touting Al-Shaair for a while on here, also have mentioned A’Shawn. Both of those guys would be great additions that won’t break the bank either

I do think the bears will spend big on 1 or 2 guys in FA. Likely to both be linemen
Yes, I agree I like both Al-Shaair and Robinson.

I'm sorry, but IDK in what world Bryce Young has a higher ceiling than Fields. Trevor Lawrence is seen as a generational talent and Fields graded out 2nd to him everywhere along the way. Fields also outperformed him in an all-star game and beat him on the field. Just because teams stupidly let him fall to 11 and Young may go #1 doesn't mean Young has a higher ceiling. Fields is bigger, stronger, faster. Young was also a top recruit, won a Heisman, played in the national championship game as well. But his ceiling is still limited by his ability to actually physically reach a ceiling.
100% agree.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Real Salt Lake
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Utah Jazz
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Utah Utes
Panthers without a doubt say no. Rumors were they turned down two 1sts for Burns at the deadline.
Those were 2024 and 2025 firsts form the Rams who they assumed would be mid picks, but still.

QB tho >>>>

Yea I've kinda lost hope that we'll get a crack at selecting him. He's gonna be in that sweet spot where he's just high enough to not warrant our higher pick, but gone before we choose again in the 2nd Rd.

All of my current mojo is reserved for JSN falling to us since all the experts seem to have forgotten about him atm.

Came right in and was able to run the offense, which wasn't surprising considering his high floor and his experience running the offense at Alabama. I never wanted him, never thought he'd be great and certainly didn't think he was the next Tom Brady.

I wouldn’t let @remydat come around trying to call you out an old take. He’s refused to own up to a single one of his horrible takes.

Don’t get me wrong, we all have horrible takes. Remy just refuses to be honest and admit it and dances around how he was indeed right. Like when he claimed that this years bears roster that factually had a worse record and finished last in the nfl was better than the previous year ??

Lol at calling him out. @bamainatlanta specifically asked me a question about who liked Mac and I answered from what I recalled.

Here we go. Please explain to me in detail how tagging posters is not calling them out because someone asked you or some idiot nonsense. Don’t address my point about how you’re literally never wrong, an actual Nostradamus! You’ve never had an incorrect take in your entire life. You should start a fortune telling hot line or something.
