Not really. It's a short pass. Just lob the ball over the top. Plenty of room to run under that.

Watching again, I was thinking when he first started to throw, probably was going with a flatter throw, where the lob would have been correct and there was room for that

Yeah, he trusts himself more than he trusts the WR. One of the things he has to work on as most QBs make that throw.
