Oh for sure, I am up to date on the front 4. Sometimes you have a dynamic joker that makes a bigger difference mixing it up though and I don't really follow Indy to know if they had some sort of specialist at linebacker like that.

Either way, my favorite pass rusher in this draft is becoming Tuli Tuipulotu. I like an end that moves inside to tackle on third down, and I think he is the type to do it, and would hope to get him with an early second round pick resulting from trading out of #1 overall. I think that it would be far better than drafting a rushing linebacker for a 4-3 in most cases. Got a thought on that prospect?

Havent paid attention. I dont get into looking at prospects in detail until after combine.

This is a textbook case of the groupthink idiocy running drafts right now. He trades back twice to end up with a too short arms, slow-footed, potential G. Are you fucking kidding me? And people are applauding this shit? Get the **** out of here. The worst part is that motherfuckers are going go on about "oh the value". **** that. This was fucking wasted pick. I fucking can't.
Jahns is a simpleton. Hoge has been carrying his water for years on that pod they share. Not surprised to see his name on this.

Why does it matter that he can and has pass rushed if Flus blitzes only 18% of the time? Unless you plan on using him like Parsons there is no way in hell Flus is drafting an off ball LB in the top 15 IMO.
Yeah, the use of him like Parsons is what I was thinking. A lot of people say that Anderson could do this, but he’d cost a very high draft pick, possibly 1. We can trade back pretty late and get a shot at him, a very good WLB, a decent S, and the ability to pass rush.

Of course, after ‘Flus went on about not drafting an off ball LB in the first, I doubt he’d go this way, but he is a positionless weapon in D that can possibly do what people want Anderson for.

If we draft him, I hope you prove me wrong. I see him as an undersized OLB for a 3-4.
I think all we can go on is the team that was assembled last year by Poles and Eberflus. Trevis Gipson 6' 4", 263 lbs, Dominique Robinson 6' 5", 253 lbs, Al-Quadin Muhammed 6’ 4” 250lbs, .... How is Will Anderson Jr. at 6’ 4” 248 considered undersized

The worst idea I've seen in a while is drafting Simpson over will Anderson
Who would say that? I meant drafting Simpson if we couldn’t get Will Anderson. Anderson is going to cost us drafting him #1, unless he falls to 4 and we trade with Indi. Getting Simpson later is a nice alternative.

It’s like, so idiotic on so many levels. We don’t NEED A LT. We need a C and a RT. There is a healthy argument for us needing a LG. He basically drafts our C in the top 10.

I’m sure there are some dudes who are going to try to hive mind this shit by saying value and other maths and reasons.

This was fucking dumb pick on so many levels.

I mean Jahns isn't a GM and clearly missed the mark on that whole thing in part because of some Chicagoland meatball ties with the NU kid. But what he knows is this:
1. Justin needs help (he failed with Peter as our pick)
2. Poles does like value

The rest of the exercise is pretty good because while other beat writers are probably morons like him, they do know the GM and the pulse of the fanbase at a pretty high level and in that mock - you had the Houston beat writer offer up the 2 + 12 picks. That means either Houston's GM or fanbase KNOW that the price to trade up to #1 is going to be absurd and they know that they can't not get their guy.

2 + 12 would be a freaking heist.

Tyree Wilson has the edge bend of Frankenstein's monster. He is a quick strong guy with zero counter moves. That plays in the NFL about as well as a Yoko Ono single. He is 2023 Alonzo Spellman. He and Q.Johnson are going to be huge busts if they are picked top 10.
He’s perfect for a 3-4 DE. Just not a good fit here

I don’t doubt the Bears would have interest in Wilson but I’d be fairly surprised if they selected him over Anderson. The narrative that Anderson doesn’t fit a 4-3 is a lot of nonsense, IMO. Not that you’re saying that per say, but Anderson would fit the defense just fine

I kind of want both

I don't think it is nonsense at all. He is undersized as a 4-3 DE. That is simply reality. DEs his size typically do struggle against the run as he is closer in size to Yannick who clearly struggles against the run due to his size. Having said that, I think Anderson can still play in a 4-3 as a DE but he is clearly not the ideal fit. You would generally want a guy in the 265-280 range in a Cover 2 4-3 Defense.

It takes away versatility. He will be stuck on the one side of the line

Is this a potential Trent Williams situation?

I know injury prone but I’d dabble.
Him, Bakhtari & Lewan should be looked at as spot backups that can help tutor Jones.

There's almost 0 chance I'd draft Simpson in round 1 because there'd always undoubtedly be a better value pick

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  2. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Illinois-Chicago Flames
  2. North Carolina Tar Heels
Why the Fields chatter?

Durr

Cause there are 6 weeks with nothing to talk about and writers still tryna get paid
And it's fucking annoying. I can't wait for the draft to get here. I'm tired of the same story regurgitated over and over. We aren't trading him and that's that, but if we do it'll sting a bit lol :bearstroll:
