I would imagine if Poles valued Wilson over Anderson then he probably should trade down if he is at a spot where Anderson is still available. I would not draft Wilson in the top 5.
Wilson could very easily go 5 to Seattle or 6 to Detroit.

If Poles really likes him he shouldn't trade behind those 2 teams.

It’s like, so idiotic on so many levels. We don’t NEED A LT. We need a C and a RT. There is a healthy argument for us needing a LG. He basically drafts our C in the top 10.

I’m sure there are some dudes who are going to try to hive mind this shit by saying value and other maths and reasons.

This was fucking dumb pick on so many levels.
He was not penciling him in at LT. He said he would make the oline better especially if they feel he can play tackle. He lists him as OT/G. He is just adding who looks to be the current consensus best olineman and letting it shake out.

Agreed we do not need a LT but try him at RT or kick him inside at LG and have a plan B if something happens to Jones. I don't have an opinion on Skoronski yet but if they have him rated that high then why not.

I think all we can go on is the team that was assembled last year by Poles and Eberflus. Trevis Gipson 6' 4", 263 lbs, Dominique Robinson 6' 5", 253 lbs, Al-Quadin Muhammed 6’ 4” 250lbs, .... How is Will Anderson Jr. at 6’ 4” 248 considered undersized

Well, how did those guys work out for the bears?

Really not saying Anderson is gon be bad, buut I don't think those guys provide a very good argument

not to be in the position of defending fkin douchebag rodgers

but coke is completely different from psychedelics
To be frank I am actually quite open to the fact that others use drugs and dont much care as long as they show up to work and dont drive stoned.

I am critical of the league for ruining other people's careers for drugs because of blanket ideas about "thinking of the message to children" while letting Rodgers' open drug use be a cheeky joke about his offseason habits.

Too bad he didn't trip balls with Rodgers. Apparently that's perfectly fine.

Coke is bad and he is bad because of it. Drug cocktails with Aaron Rodgers are A-OK though.
Yes. And handing out highly addictive painkillers and anti anxiety pills that destroy your body and mind is not only condoned, but recommended by your healthcare providers. A “good drug” solely depends on who’s profiting off it, doesn’t matter the benefits or side effects.

I'm not sure Will Anderson Jr. will go down as a bust, but he too lacks bend and a lot of his statistical accumulation has come from him running down quarterbacks untouched. He certainly has that elite closing ability, but I don't really see his ability to get off blocks and create havoc. He got completely taken out of the game against Tennesseee.

I think there is a way to use him in the NFL that will let him shine, but it might come as a disappointment if people have Von Miller expectations.
Surprisingly good football take. If Bears trade down (assuming Carter is off the board) and go edge, I still like Myles Murphy the most. He is a disrupter off the edge and he has good bend. Reminds me of a good Robert Quinn. Good motor, quick off the first step, production at the college level. Does need to develop a counter move but the upside is there.

And I'm not saying Will Anderson will bust, but I think with this scheme, there may be better options.

This. I have been saying for awhile that Murphy as much more physically suited to be a 4-3 DE than Wilson. I could see the Bears dropping back to 7, gather up some picks and players and taking Murphy there.

@nvanprooyen Please thread ban for non Bears, non football, no one gives a shit attempt at derailing. That and being a POS.
Let the poor guy drool over another man's girlfriend in peace.

Unless he is one of those creepy stalker types. If anyone sees him constantly follow around another person in some creepy and obsessive ways, and possibly some obsession with clowns.... well then that is a different case all-together.

Bro, let’s explain why this was the dumbest fucking pick I’ve seen in years, the faulty hive mind ideology behind it, and why.

Let’s be scientists and start with a question: what is the one position we can’t get in FA this off season?

Did you answer a playmaker on offense? Good. We are going to probably end up spending way more than we’d like to on the FA WR from NE.

Back to minimiski for a bit. He, being a technician, is not a dude that wins with power, so not my idea of a top 20 G, let alone drafting a C in the top 10. What he is is an OL and the hive mind see positional value like nimrods scout helmets. There’s not much of a difference between positional value based scouting and helmet scouting. You need to see the dudes play, understand the context, and apply your understanding to specific and malleable situations. Apparently, sports writers don’t have the time to do this.

The latest draft dudes has Bijan going 7 and they were clear he could have gone 5. ‎Draft Dudes – Daily Podcast On The NFL Draft And College Football on Apple Podcasts

Now, even if you don’t want the most explosive player in the draft, the top WRs were on the board. Addison would have been a better pick. For D, Christian Gonzalez was on the board and these idiots didn’t even draft Trenton Simpson.

As far as OL help, you don’t use a top 10 pick for “OL help”. A top 10 pick is for irreplaceable talent that directly affects the game. There aren’t any OL in this draft that fit that description and that’d fit on our O scheme.

There are plenty of FA OL this year. We have two OL that have been developing. We need the most replaceable parts of the OL in a C and RT. But, hive mind ideology points to value metrics and claims a win. **** that. Give me a difference maker like Brian Branch. Fucking scrappydooski is a laughable wasted pick.
