Richardson runs 4.43 40, sets combine leap record

Richardson set a modern combine record for quarterbacks with a 40 1/2-inch vertical jump (best since at least 2003).

Not sure why this a big deal for a Qb. He's not gonna be doing non-stop jump passes and he's not gonna be batting down
passes.

Honest question: Are you mentally deficient? He is 6'4" tall, 244 lbs, plays QB, and is likely a 99th percentile future NFL athlete. Who plays QB. There are likely at least 3 GMs who are currently rubbing one out to his highlights.

Washington, Kuntz and Musgrave showed really good athleticism for 6-6 or taller TEs. Kuntz may last to Day 3 and would be a good guy to develop.

I'd be comfortable if we traded back to 7 or 9 and took JSN. He was a top 5 pick going into this season and his hammy is clearly fine now. Olave and Wilson aren't fluffing him up - he's legit.

Address the OL later and in FA, DL through FA and let the offense grow.
So the Bears spend thirty-second overall and the remnants of first overall on two wide receivers? Yeah, no. Don't really get the impression Ryan Poles is going to just let the offensive line and defense get even worse. Patchwork free agents in an historically weak free agent class and leftovers in the second round are not the way to build those units.

If Aaron Rodgers is true to his whole self mantra he will retire. The only reason he plays another season is 1) money which he doesn't need or 2)going into the HOF behind Brady.

I kinda think the Brady/Rodgers combined HOF ceremony would be hyped as a huge NFL pud pulling spectacle

I would be shocked to see him retire. The money is no joke and in the HOF discussion, I don't doubt he will want to avoid that direct comparison to Brady when he goes into the hall.

The play style thing never made sense to me. I prefer a QB that can offer Fields a different perspective as they are different QBs. It also makes it tougher for D to prepare if the backup is not a carbon copy of Fields.
THANK YOU! This is what I've been saying. You get a Fields clone at backup, he's going to just be worse at running the stuff that makes Fields good. You get a different QB and you can tailor the playcalling to a different type of QB and make it harder for opponent scouting.

Can get you a couple wins in the short term. Long term, you're screwed if you're QB goes down anyway, so I'd rather be different instead of a worse version of the same.

It's almost to obvious right now, Fields let Poles do his thing last season without an request and now JF1's boy is climbing the draft. I think we should know by now we're most likely trading down some and drafting JSN for Fields. Poles just might be able to flip the hell out the WR situation by next draft.
