And getting rid of Mack and Quinn and having their age show this past season was what?

If the Claypool trade doesn't work, big deal, it was a 2nd. The previous GM wasted one of those on Adam Shaheen.
Why are Bears fans so quick to write off Claypool? He was traded midseason to a team in flux that doesn't throw the ball. Not to mention he clearly didn't know where to line up and had no rapport with Fields.

He's got experience and a size/speed combo that no other receiver in this draft has. It was a trade for the future, not to win us games last year.

I’m team **** ARob.

One thing I will give him credit for is that he was truly ahead of the 'quiet quitting' trend. My dude was committed to just going through the motions. If he weren't on my football team, I'd salute him for the total lack of giving a shit while being paid millions. Truly awe-inspiring. Basically stealing money from the billionaires, iconic.

But since he was on the football team I support, I agree with you, **** ARob.

Why are Bears fans so quick to write off Claypool?
Other guys were able to come in after being traded or signed and make an immediate impact. I'm not writing him off. But it would be a good idea to get an impact slot receiver in the draft perhaps (maybe free agency) so Claypool can settle into that big body/jump-ball/red-zone type threat and not ask him to have to be a superstar. He's got Mooney opposite him already and we know Mooney can ball. JSN in the middle of those two would be a pretty damn good set of receiving options along with Kmet. Not elite bit certainly good enough to say Fields has got everything he needs to show that he's a superstar (assuming the line is addressed in a big way too).

It was worse than any move Ryan Pace ever made. A rebuilding team, one of the worst in the league, gives away their second pick because they had to stop their mediocre division rival from making the same blunder.

Our only hope is that he's learned from it. He has a chance to atone for it by moving down from first overall (and then moving down again). But it does make me worry that this guy is a complete idiot who is going to draft Will Anderson Jr.
I don’t agree with the Claypool trade but it was hardly anywhere near as bad as anything Pace did

1. Kevin White
2. Mitch Trubisky
3. Mitch Trubisky trade
4. Adam Shaheen
5. Anthony Miller
6. Re-signing Danny T
7. Trading for Nick Foles
8. Hiring Nagy
9. Not cutting Parkey

The sooner a trade is done, the better for the Bears. Even if it's not a trade down a 2nd time scenario, for them to agree to a trade so soon, it would mean that they got a deal that they didn't think they would beat over the next month and 3/4.

I also feel like if a team is trading to #1 in the next couple weeks, CJ Stroud is the target. Maybe Bryce Young really blew away teams in the interviews, but Stroud likely had the same interviews and backed it up with a phenomenal workout.

Dude catching TDs on his name day...I'll cut up some CCS trolls limbs apart to be 24 again.
I don't think that video was taken today. Or recently. He looks significantly younger and his hair was significantly longer at the Super Bowl

Like who? The other WRs who got traded were done in the offseason, meaning they had a full camp and season with their teams. Who else was traded midseason and made an immediate impact as an offensive weapon?

Lol the desperation is strong in you.

Hey what are you thoughts on the Claypool trade? Havent heard your opinion on it in the past 15 minutes.
The funny part is this whole thing started with me saying that the Bears were not going to use both of their top fifty picks this year on wide receivers. But being critical of the worst NFL trade since Russell Wilson threw up some sort of remydat bat signal where you had to come defend the honor of the dumbest trade I've seen the Bears make probably ever.
