Probably trades 2 firsts and guarantees Lamars full contract to sabotage all the owners

Synder signing Lamar helps the next owner. Face of franchise and Synder gets the blame for giving a fully guaranteed contract and not the new owners.

He’s an excellent football player and would form an incredibly nasty right side for the Bears o-line in tandem with Jenkins. I question a system or methodology that eliminates picking this guy.

You mean a system that has won teams multiple super bowls and is one of the most popular in the NFL?

Meh, Snyder would probably threaten to expose the NFL on the collusion, trying to retain ownership. that is kind of his MO.

Or levis. Young and stroud that plan wouldn't make sense. Houston taking levis or Richardson at 2 would help for a double trade back I think too
How does Houston's choice at #2 affect the #1 pick?
How does Houston taking a QB most don't consider top 2 make #1 more valuable? It makes #3 more valuable.

The thing is it helps set a precedent for players that the rest of the owners don't want to deal with. I assumed that would be pretty clear. And he hates the other owners more than he gives a shit about whoever buys the team.

I dont think it devalues #1 at all, but you are right about 3. I guess I was hoping Arizona maybe stays put leaving stroud/young available at 4

Counter argument is that the Bears are obviously a run blocking team, were #1 in yards last year and I don't think they will create a weakness there at the RT position. Pass blocking has to improve but I don't think the training wheels come off that fast that we are not run orientated team again next year, especially because we are good at it.

Best case IMO is next year is a transition year to more reliance on the passing game and we start to see an explosive offense open up.
How did the Bears rank in rushing yards by running backs?

Our QB ran for over 1,000 yards, many of it on pass plays, but Bears fans think we should "remain a run oriented team".

It's 2023. Pass the damn ball.

Arizona would have to really love one defender to not trade out of that spot. We envision the Bears getting a zillion picks in trade downs, and then expect AZ to stand pat in the same situation. Doesn't add up.

Simple explanation (and i'm not an expert on Arizona) but do they have as many holes to fill as the Bears?

They have a starting Qb that might miss the majority of next season?

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Indiana Hoosiers
People need to understand that there is a very real possibility that teams trade up but not all the way to 1. The asking price is much lower and teams could fall in love with QBs other than Bryce Young.

Not saying there is no market for a trade up to 1. But it's possible that Poles does not like the value he is offered and stays put and takes Anderson. Would not be the worst thing in the world but I feel like people here would be very disappointed.
No GM is going to want to trade to #3 and have no clue what QB they will get if they can get to #1. Do you honestly think, say, CAR is going to give up 2023 1st and 2nd, 2024 1st and 2nd to move #3 ( very close comp to SF/MIA trade with 3 1sts and a 3rd to go from 12 to 3)when giving up one more 1st likely gets them to #1 overall? Once #1 is traded then some team may be content to move to #3, but I don't see that being the first domino to fall.

Albert Breer believes the Panthers will trade up for a QB
Details: Breer “wholeheartedly” believes that Carolina will move up from pick No. 9 to secure one of the draft’s top quarterbacks.

Interesting: Breer thinks the Panthers are likelier to trade for the Cardinals’ No. 3 pick than the Bears’ No. 1 pick.
  • If Bryce Love and C.J. Stroud go with the top two picks, that would leave the Panthers choosing between Will Levis and Anthony Richardson.
I can see it, QB's going 1,2,3 in this draft.
