What logic? It was pretty clear last year was an intentional tear down. The bears knew they were going to be bad. By design. To the point they traded two of their best players in season. Right tackles and defensive linemen are available all the way into the undrafted free agent pool. Earth to Remy, the chances a draft pick works out generally goes down the lower it is in the draft. High second rounders are worth a lot more than late ones.

Linebacker market seems reasonable. Sign a Will and that leaves more draft picks for the positions that are blowing up now.

It's all about talent relative to contract. Should we have given McGlinchey as much as he got or more? I dunno. Good player but maybe not worth that amount of money.

There are lots of good IOL options. We won't draft a LT to move a LT to LG while still sucking at RT.
