Report: Chicago Bears Sign QB P.J. Walker to 2-Year Deal

Walker is good backup Qb . He understands the passing game. He went 5-0 in June Jones' XFL R&S offense before the league collapsed. The guy has winning attitude and he's a better fit than Siemian and Peterman in terms of playmaking
ability at the Qb position. Defenses can't relax if he has to play.
run and shoot:

You're so right. Thanks for the great post.

I'd be up for a couple 1 yr deals on Ngakoue and Gesicki. Ngakoue isn't the prototype Poles is looking for but his 6 out of 8 yrs with 8-12 sacks gives you a near guaranteed baseline, they could fill a need as young guys develop, and possibly add comp picks if they excel.
Hard no on Gesicki. Doesn’t block and has no role in this scheme; he’ll likely end up in Las Vegas now that Waller was traded. Yannick would give this team an actual pass rush.

So flip from fantasizing about a guy that super slow guy that refused to play RT to fantasizing about an unavailable guy that wants to reset the market at LT.

Pass

Yes at least it is fantasizing about someone that is worth it. There were reports be may be available because his cap hit this year is 35m for the Texans.

Is the 6.3 better pass blocking rate worth millions more? Is the 76.8 pass blocking rate worth 16 million per year?

I never wanted Brown.

This is inaccurate and he continued to misrepresent as is his norm.

In true pass block situations the numbers aren’t even comparable, brown was vastly superior to Braxton.

Except I provided evidence that he improved in true pass sets as the season progressed. You never responded to that info. Below was the exchange.

Yes that is the whole season where I already said he struggled early.

As I said he got better the last half of the season as this shows he went from 2.4 pressures a game in TPS to 1. That aligns with his PFF grade showing improvement pass blocking and him being graded the 13th best tackle overall the last half of the season.

So not sure what you are going on about. Jones was a rookie who understandably struggled early. He then appeared to find his feet the 2nd half of the season. It is entirely fair for people to think he can continue to improve for a fraction of the cost of Brown.

I still can't get over how prominent the agents are in the modern sports world. Personally thanking each agent by name? Seems silly to me, but that's the world we're in.

I like the pj signing. Thought maybe Mariotta would fit. But, I want a little mobility out of our backup QB.
