Late here to this party but I really like what Poles has done so far. Imo the draft is where your impact players come from and free agency, for the most part, is about filling in the pieces and he's done a great job of that so far. There really weren't a lot of blue chip players available, I believe Edmunds was one of the only ones, and the Bears got him.
I know people wanted tackles but honestly McGlinchey and McGary were not the guys you want if you're looking to protect Fields. Both are very good run blockers but not so much as pass blockers. They would have been good additions but I don't think they were the upgrade in pass pro that people think. I think history shows you can find Right tackles in the 2nd round. I also think the Bears have ammunition to move back into the end of the 1st round if they want and end up with two 1st rounders.
