So let's do a little thought experiment.

In the time span between the Steelers offloading Claypool and the Bears getting Moore, what percentage of CCS posters would be lambasting Poles if he didn't offer the higher second and Claypool became a Packer?

25%?

50%?

75%?

This is before knowing the Bears would have Moore or a consensus pass rush specialist with the 32nd pick. And before the news that Mooney is not yet ready to practice.
At the time of trade? Probably 50%. By end of season (assuming he has roughly same impact for GB as he did for CHI) 10% at most.

Not sure why the Jets & Commanders would be ranked higher as they both only have 1 legit receiver and then a pile of “meh.” But it seems fair I suppose.
Jahan Dotson was looking real good for Wash before he got hurt?

Yeah if you look at it as what WR could we have taken in a bad WR draft then you'd be right on with this but for me there was plenty of DE's (very much needed and still is) that we could of taken and plenty of other positions on a team with so many needs.
I tend to agree with you but remember that Dominic Robinson was a project pick last year and that it was going to be at least a year before we had a clue to his upside.

Yeah I could quibble with those two but the rest seems fair to me as well.

DomRob showed almost nothing last year. You’d think by the end of the year we’d see more flashes especially with how much he played.

That being said Gipson played really well to end the ‘21 season and was a total dud last year. So just goes to show that progress isn’t always linear and it did take Gipson a full year and half to show he belonged.

Hopefully, Dexter and Pickens combined with what should be a solid secondary can make the edge rushers’ jobs easier.

Please can we stop with the Fields had zero weapons talk just to make ourselves feel better about how bad he was in the passing game?! He had weapons, he had NFL players, did he have enough great weapons? No, but he had weapons that good/great QB's could get the ball to. Lets also stop with the talk that nobody got open because players were absolutely open but Fields wasn't good at hitting them if a DB was anywhere near them. He wasn't good at throwing open WR's. Fields needs work and he needs to make a pretty big jump to show he can do those things this year. Now he has a #1 WR to go with a couple of #2's or #3's and pretty damn good at the TE spot and should, fingers crossed, have a much better OL.
@Montucky here is what I am talking about. This is what you should strive for as a troll. If anyone didn't know @dabears70, they would have a hard time knowing if he was a troll or just ignorant. Now we all know @dabears70 is quite ignorant, but otherwise this would be a very nice troll post.

@remydat lots of cunting about the Claypool trade going on in here, haven’t seen you come in once! Kinda shocking considering the amount of whining you did about me complaining about the trade even after I posted a number of times being relatively positive about it

Have you ever had an ounce of integrity in your life?

I'd be happy with Claypool or Hamler.

My goodness even i wanted us to draft Claypool but i damn sure ain't gonna whore myself out and all the sudden start talking about it like remy does....LOL.

So damn sad.

It's cool that you would draft Claypool over Kmet but i wouldn't of and am good with the Kmet pick and don't like players with character issues on and off the field.

We used to have a ton of Claypool fans that always came at me how bad of a pick Kmet was and that Pace was an idiot for drafting Kmet over C.Claypool.

Washington is way better but yeah the Jets thing is marginal. Though if you take into account the fact that Darnell Mooney might be hurt the Bears are probably not even top twenty.

Not statistically. Both Mooney and Claypool have had better seasons than those guys.
I imagine a world where Curtis Samuel was on the Bears and people were saying Chase Claypool was better than him and the reaction you'd have to that.

Jahan Dotson is also a second year player who actually did kind of OK considering his situation in Washington. Darnell Mooney might be profoundly injured and not be ready by training camp. I know which player I'd rather have for next season.

Terry McLaurin vs. DJ Moore is a wash. Recently McLaurin has been better, though.

This has bears 2nd in the division. You had them 4th, right?
The Bears are probably better than Green Bay but I could understand the argument either way.

With Darnell Mooney hurt I am afraid the Lions probably are better at receiver, even with Jameson Williams suspended.

Claypool has two seasons where he had more yards than Samuel's best season. That's simply a fact.
