so when he does trot out on the field, everyone will know the play is going to him......
No. My guess is he'll probably play 15-20 snaps when everyone is healthy and get 2-3 targets and a couple manufactured touches. Like other specialists.

Just fyi when players run routes there are multiple options for a QB.

There is a good chance velus isn't even on the final 53.

They already have 4 guys who are 100% making the team. Get one more rookie and that makes 5.

He isn't even good on special teams, so not sure what his value would be. Ebner and him should both be cut barring some major improvements in camp.
He will 100% be on the 53.

I love JSN, but drafting him is the definition of too many cooks in the kitchen.

You gotta give Claypool/Mooney a chance to grow. 2024 let the worst of the 2 walk and draft MHJ..

Man, that is ballsy. And pretty arrogant about declining visits
I think it's his attempt of rehabilitating his client, creating a sense of urgency (even if it's false). Rosenhaus is famous for some of his shenanigans. I think it's a risky move because if teams that had an opportunity to visit with him one-on-one take a pass, teams outside of the top ten will see that as a signal that they found something that took Carter off of their board.

This is complete horseshit. He’s a pretty damn good kick returner. He should never have been used as a punt returner. That’s on the coaching staff.

He’s not a prototypical WR, but has a similar skill set to Cordarrelle Patterson and should be utilized accordingly. He scored a TD on his first offensive NFL touch and he didn’t get another chance for weeks.

He can be a weapon if used properly. His speed is real and has to be respected. A diverse offense can attack a defense in a variety of fashions. He provides a different wrinkle.

Also, when he motions across the formation, the threat of a jet sweep has to accounted for by the opposing defense. He’s dangerous with the ball in his hands.

There is zero chance the Bears cut him this off-season.

I believe his process was well thought out. Poles is human. I think anyone would have some anxiety with such an undertaking.

Maybe he could have received more, but my initial impression hasn’t changed. I love getting DJ Moore the player and person. Also, his contract is a real value and I’m happy with the draft pick compensation.
bump this and stop the 2nd guessing.

Ideal scenario would be trading from 9 to 15-20 and gaining an extra 2nd and future pick/s. Trading that 15-20 pick for Jeffrey Simmons. Then having 3 2nds and the first pick in the 3rd to fill OT, DE, C/CB. Hope Carl lawson gets cut and snag him and you are looking at a rebuilt DL. I'd also be willing to use those picks to trade back up for Anton Harrison.

Honestly poles has lots of different situations where things could come together nicely. We'll see what happens.

Not bad, sounds like a Poles move.

You'd have to think that Poles would move Mooney or Claypool in that case. And most likely Mooney bc he probably has more value than Claypool (or not).
I don't think getting JSN impacts either at least this year before seeing who balls out.

He will be fine and work into a nice roll this season.

It should.

Both Mooney and Claypool are FAs next year. Unless you play the Franchise Tag game with one of them, you lose all your trade value. Best case scenario for keeping both would be that one balls out and get a FA contract, resulting in a 3rd round (end) comp... but that's even unlikely given how much cap space CHI has next year as well.
