Guys who evaluate QBs say he's a keeper. But im very skeptical because Bob in Hegewisch says he sucks.
I think they’ve earmarked Learherwood for LG. I really don’t see him beating out Jones, and he sucked on the right in Vegas. Also, he really doesn’t seem to have the build for a center.Last year was a deep WR class and the Bears ended up with a talented 3rd round WR that is Velus Jones Jr.
Also, he's basically insinuating, that the Bears will only look to upgrade RT. I too assume Patrick will get a shot to actually play the position he was brought in to play next year (C). But even if he's good and you expect Jones and Jenkins to improve, you gotta upgrade Whitehair as well. Sure, Cody is solid as hell, but he's going over 12M on the cap hit next year, and isn't a 12M on the market guy. I think you upgrade that position and RT. Even if it's 1 in FA and 1 in the draft, you gotta upgrade at least 2 spots on the line.
The bears going to have a top 10 pick, maybe top 5. Unless the bears find their way into top 3 the trade down options will be limited.I think they’ve earmarked Learherwood for LG. So, between one of our rookies from last year or Leatherwood, I’m thinking Whitehair’s days are numbered, and, yes, he’s a team first dude and a solid player, but no way on that contract and that price.
So, I’d like to see two high picks at RT and C.
At C, I’d like to go with a mauling former wrestler, like my boy that KC drafted. I’m still bitter about that shit. Anyway, Christian Haynes out of UCONN is a dude I’m hoping they take a swing on for a C.

What was Schofield and Mustipher doing?
No. Unless, of course, it’s some freak. The bears going to have a top 10 pick, maybe top 5. Unless the bears find their way into top 3 the trade down options will be limited.
They have a mid to late 2nd round pick from the ravens.
Are you suggesting they reach for a RT in early round 1? It’s just not realistic.
I would like to see the 2nd used on the RT.If they pick 5-8 there may be a dlineman or LT as BPA, both huge positions of need. The late 2nd round pick could end up being an RT or center though.
This is the money part. 12 mil’s a chunk of change. I do think they keep him, but there’s definitely want to replace him.I just don’t see how they don’t keep whitehair around for at least 1 more year.
I highly doubt he can play on the right. Some dudes are like Zoolander, they’re not ambiturners. I don’t get it, but it is a thing. Now, it could have been just shit coaching in Vegas, but, especially after Jenkins, I see Learherwood as a G. If he is the RT of the future, we should still draft an OL high, because it’s just good practice.I’m hoping they try leatherwood at RT or guard. I think teven should get a shot a tackle, or maybe try leatherwood. Borom is not a building block.
Agree with most, but...We have 100m to spend and the options at OL in FA are better than most other positions so fix the OL in FA. Get a good T and a C/G. Also get a DE and DT in FA as well. Then go BPA in draft within reason. We should not have to feel the need to draft one position in particular.
How big a need WR is depends on how Mooney, Claypool, Harry, Pringle and VJJ look after the bye as I would phase out ESB and Pettis after the bye.
Next year I have ESB add 15-20 pounds have him play as a move TE to complement Kmet.
Thank you.Agree with most, but...
ESB is a 26yo man that has worked out daily with training staff for most his life and is 6'5" 214lbs. Hell, his father is a world class body builder. He could not add 15-20 pounds of good weight without the use of horse steroids to save his life. Only place he needs to move is to another team or career.

You mean to tell me that a team that's been drafting in the top 10 for the last 20 years has a lot of raw talent? You don't say!?
LOL Trey Burton was 6'2"He hasn't tried because he wasn't trying to be a TE. He is limited as a WR and has no future there beyond as a decent blocker. Better off bulking up to 225-230 which is around the size Trey Burton played at. If not then he is destined to be a fringe WR.
Agree totally. I think both lines need a direct infusion of veteran presence as well that they're lacking a bit. It's possible that Whitehair gets cut for Leatherwood, then you've got Jones and Jenkins, all of which would be 3rd year-or-less players. It would help a lot to have some guys who don't have learning curves to deal with. Same with the D-line.We have 100m to spend and the options at OL in FA are better than most other positions so fix the OL in FA. Get a good T and a C/G. Also get a DE and DT in FA as well. That could be done now even, and probably should. Without Herbert now and Montgomery's pass catching ability, it's as good a time as any to cut Justin loose as a passer and let him take his lumps there. Not saying to change things drastically but put the ball up another 5-6 times a game and see what you've got in these pass catchers. How big a need WR is depends on how Mooney, Claypool, Harry, Pringle and VJJ look after the bye as I would phase out ESB and Pettis after the bye.
That's a great idea.Next year I have ESB add 15-20 pounds have him play as a move TE to complement Kmet.
LOL Trey Burton was 6'2"
6'5" 230 gets him close to Brandon Marshal size.
1) With his body structure, it would be impossible for him to get to that size without heavy use of illegal substances.
2)If he could somehow get to that size, he still is not a TE, just a bigger WR with raisins for balls, bad acne, and unpredictable fits of rage.
Edit: My apologies there was 1 TE in last years draft that was 232lb's, I mean he was a TE midget at 5'11" but still only 2-7lbs heavier than the 20 lbs ESB could easily put on in 6 months.
3 inches shorter, more stout and heavier than ESB ever could dream of being, but I agree all just speculation.
Burton was 224 coming out of college. Played anywhere from 225-235. In any event, really no point going back and forth on this as pure speculation at this point.
