The Bears are going to lose Getsy but I personally feel they will get 1 more year with him. The offense really struggled and didn't take off until #1 started running. They're still dead last in passing. Does his potential team think he is bringing Fields with??

In general, people look at OL too closed-mindedly. It's a unit, each position isn't a singular position. I'm not "replacing" Jones at LT. I'm moving him to RT in this scenario and putting a top 10 pick (AKA a more talented player) at LT. The Bears will probably leave Jones at LT, because that's the position he's played adequately, but if I said I was taking a RT in the top 10, everyone would have flipped out because it's not the blind side! And that mentality leads to passing up a top 10 talent and waiting for value at RT, which makes your OL not as talented overall.

Whitehair is average. Actually, he's probably on the lower end of average. And while it's admirable that he's played decently, you'd be paying a 31 year old, who has missed multiple games 2 of the last 3 years, a 14.1Mil cap hit. And while, I know cap isn't a problem, it's simply not a smart move to pay 14Mil for average play that is getting older.

Patrick is not only much cheaper, he's younger, will have fresher legs from missing a ton of time this year and again, knows the offense which was such a big key for the Bears this year. It shouldn't be an either/or with Whitehair anyway. If they get rid of both, I wouldn't complain. But logically speaking, Patrick hasn't done anything at the position he was brought in to play to show that the Bears should give up on him playing that position.

But C is NOT the biggest issue on the line. Again, that's looking at it too closed-minded. The biggest issue on the line is talent. Get talent and then figure out where to put them. Spending money on a C instead of say, a LG, means you are focusing on 1 singular position of a 5-man unit. You're also limiting the quality of player you can get if you're only looking for centers.
I get what you say.

But why shall we move a good prospect just to RT to get another prospect when we have money once a hundred.

Also I wouldn't cut Whitehair. You will have little dead cap, sure, but his replacement costs, too. Makes no sense from money side. Then you would need a better player which is more expansive and talent.

Getting talent outside of draft (so I understood you) means every time better player = expansive.

I like the idea of C and RT in free agency, because so far Patrick shows me nothing but meh at guard.

We need a T and we need an IOL in FA. Find the nest you can and the figure out where to put them. Jones/Borom can play LT or RT. Whitehair and Patrick can play C or G. The goal should be to have enough depth that one of Jones/Borom is the swing tackle and one of Whitehair/Patrick is the first backup on the interior.

I don't see a team making Getsy a head coach. No way. He hasn't proved anything yet as an offensive coordinator let alone be fit to be a head coach.

I agree but look around the league. He was interviewed last season. Surely his stock has risen since then?

He's got a legit chance solely because of his work with Fields and the offensive production the last month. If the Bears offense keeps producing, he's going to get a head coaching job this offseason or next. NFL is an offensive league and everybody wants that next Sean McVay type.

Offensive coach leading the 32 ranked pass offense though . I know I know, record sitting run O but that's Fields, not Getsy.

To counter though, they've got the #1 rushing offense by a lot. They've put up 30+ points a week for the last month. He's got the least talented skill position players in the league. His offensive line is terrible and yet they're scoring points like crazy. I could easily see an owner or GM talking themselves into him sooner rather than later.
