I get it, but there is no way whoever is calling the shots on draft day are letting Lovie make that pick. Lovie just doesnt have that kind of clout, even if he is the HC.

he seems to be in the same role that John Fox had with us - right the ship, help the franchise move on from past mistakes and help transition to the next phase of the franchise.

Carter at 3 would mean 3 straight quarterbacks or 2 and Anderson. That’s entirely possible. I’m not sure I like JSN in the first. He’s one I’m worried about. If Bijan’s off the board, maybe double down on DT and take a DE?

Doubtful as Casserio is GM not Lovie and Lovie doesnt have the kind of power he had in Chicago. Casserio is not drafting with Lovie in mind. Having said that he is former Pats so may still value Carter or Anderson but if so would make our decision to trade down easier IMO.
