He was perfect for the Bears and most Bears fans wanted him. We were all devastated when he went one pick before us. (At least that’s my memory)
You are correct sir. I was super pissed the Bears didn't get him but then they went away from the 4-3 anyway.

As I recall, Aaron Donald wasn’t even that much of a hyped prospect. I believe many thought he was undersized and that that would be a problem for him. And he was drafted at 13. Good but not all time.

Conversely, Solomon Thomas was drafted at 3. Lol.
Anyone that watched the Senior Bowl practices (except Hub), should have been able to determine Donald was a different kind of animal.

He destroyed everyone he lined up against.

Was doing the same thing his senior year in college. There were games where he was simply unblockable. He would be in the backfield before OL were getting out of their stance. Of course meathead GM's thought he was too short. Aaron Donald lasting to pick 13 was a crime.

Claypool has been hot since he's been here? I don't remember him being hot in any games.
He is talking about separation. There was a few deflected passes, one of which was a target to the end zone for a wide open Claypool.

Also he got going before the knee injury to GB. Claypool is a deep threat and Justin will figure that connection out soon. He is your WR2 with upside IMO.

What do they honestly think they would get for him? The team that trades for Love would have 1 year on the rookie deal and then have to either pay him 20 million or sign him to an extension. And why would a team trade for him when they could just draft their guy and get 4 years on the rookie deal? I guess maybe a team that strikes out on a QB in the draft will give up a 2024 2nd or 3rd rounder for Love.

Hmm, if I were a good team that needed a backup QB with the theoretical upside to one day take over, I might offer a third rounder? This would be a situation similar to the recent 49ers or Chiefs who drafted their eventual successor before they were needed on the field. I could see him as valid competition with Malik Willis in Tennessee.

Best spot the kid could hope for is New Orleans, who could very well want to bring in a former first round talent at a discount to see if he can be their guy of the future. Houston wouldnt surprise me, should they not want to draft QB in the first round.

Yeah don't really look at Claypool as a deep threat unless you mean you can throw the ball to him deep but he'll have to take it from the defender physically, which he can do, or going and getting it at it's high point because he's not really a guy that will blow by a defender to be wide open on the deep ball. I definitely see him as a WR2 who can out physical any defender in the secondary and can be that big weapon across the middle.

He is a strider, like Alshon, he does have some serious deep speed. If you watch his first two seasons in the league, Big Ben was feasting with Claypool.
