Roquan is the one who requested a trade. I dont get why he's so mad that he got what he wanted?

If you read the Athletic article, he says Poles told him he wasn't going to trade him and they agreed to revisit after the season. So he felt Poles lied to him.

Waaaaaah. The guy did nothing to earn the money or "respect" he thinks he deserved. Good enough player, but repeatedly came in out of shape, had multiple team distractions in and out of seasons, and by evidence of an UDFA rookie coming in after he was traded and averaging more tackles, more solo tackles, more sacks, more QB hits, kinda highlights that he was easily replaceable.

If his feelings were hurt because he didn't rape the franchise for stupid money and was the first player in pro sports history to be traded when told otherwise, well...cry me a fucking river. Piss and moan to the media all you like. After being a **** this offseason, I have no fucks to give about guys like him boo-hooing about respect and only making 100's of millions. Was never a big fan and never for the money he expected he deserved. He made Lance "Never going to play another down for the Bears" Briggs seem like a stand up team guy.

I was answering the question as to why he was mad if he requested a trade. That is all.

“I thought Poles would ship me out, but he told me numerous times, ‘I don’t plan to trade you at all,'” Smith says. “So I was like, ‘I guess I won’t be going anywhere.’ He said we’d talk at the end of the season.”

Probably still upset over the contract offered as well.

Smith and Poles met face-to-face and exchanged a series of emails. He says Poles asked him to accept de-escalators in his contract that no player making more than $15 million a year has in his deal. The contract offered also was very backloaded, according to Smith. “It was,” he says, “a slap in the face.”

Odd. I was told on here that Lawrence only went #1 overall because he was white. (Yes really)

Him and Fields will always be tethered to one another just as they were in pop Warner, high school, and college. What are the odds of 2 franchise QB’s growing up within a 30mile radius?

It would be awesome to see them playing against each other in a Superbowl in 3-4 years.
