I wouldn't count it out with how dumb that organization is. Paying Allen and Payne a gigantic portion of the team salary before they could pay Sweat or Young is very Washington.

Yep. Most teams would have to let him walk but this is the Washington Commanders. They are roughly middle of the pack in cap space at $15million in 2023 so they could make some moves and theoretically franchise him. All depends on what the organization plans on in 2023. Fire Rivera and do a mini-rebuild or double down? I don’t think Rivera is on the hot seat anymore though

He's a good rookie, he also has a semblance of a pass rush to help him out. Bears pass rush is historically awful, so there's nothing covering up any Brisker flaws. He's out there covering QBs that could make a cup of coffee in the pocket if they wanted to. He just passes the eye test, and PFF tests to be a future elite safety.
