Yes I have said that. My point is you claiming we wont as if it is fact is asinine. None of us know at this point.
Actually i said we would need a very desperate team to get 3 1st's and a 3rd in a trade up so it's possible, but again, the Dolphins got that much because the 49ers wanted it that bad and made a huge offer to get the Dolphins to take it and not wait until draft time or draft day when they can hear all offers from interested teams.

Yeah i think they turned two of those picks into J.Waddle and B.Chubb.
The Chubb trade is not looking too good right now for Miami. He has not played very well for them.

True but i don't think i'd worry about it not working out for him in Miami because he's so damn talented at what he does but we'll see.

Zero chance Colts give up that much

Hence why I said you try for. In the end it depends on how desperate they are and Irsay has already indicated he may interfere this year to get a young QB. In any event there will be plenty of suitors IMO.

Idk carr has been benched for stidham, and Jimmy g has huge injury concerns and couldn’t really get it done on the overall most talented team in football. They also have been through the carousel of vet/journeyman QB’s the last several years.

I could see them leveraging several firsts and rolling with an elite defense and rookie QB. If you get a rookie QB you can afford Buckner. If you think you can win with an elite defense you don’t trade away one of the best on your team/in the league.

JG and Carr will still have teams interested in them. I agree I dont expect Colts to be one of those teams because again Irsay seems gung ho that he wants a young QB.

The Colts dont have an elite D. They are 28th in points. If you have to give up Buckner to get the No 1 pick then you do it as what is the alternative? Bears likely to trade their pick to someone, Texans likely taking a QB. Seahawks or Cards could also move thier picks to a QB needy team.

The key is Irsay. If he gets involved then he is desperate IMO.

You know what would save your job, Lovie? Winning. Yup. You need to go out a winner. Nothing saves a coach’s job like beating the Colts. You can do it.
That would make them 1-0 going into next season, right?

No you also claimed that we KNOW Bears are not going to get that.

I figured your feelings would be hurt by knowing we won't get three 1sr round picks and a 3rd from a team if we trade down so i said sorry.

Anything else?

The point Nostradumbass is we dont know anything. It is all just speculation right now.

Exactly. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, it is best not to speak. People might realize you don’t know what the **** you’re talking about.

Robinson and Vaughn have amazing hands. I mean, they’re incredible. I think Robinson is a better receiver than the Alabama back. Deuce Vaughn. Yo, just watch him play. The way he can catch.

Those two backs do not have to just line up in the backfield. The holes on the team would look a lot better IF Fields had some REAL weapons, especially players that can play out of more than one position.

Seriously, watch them play. If you see something I don’t, let me know. It only tells me people haven’t watched them when they think they’re just a running back. That’s some in the box thinking.View attachment 25314

We far from one player away from being a top team, so get the best weapons we can for Fields. Score a shit ton of points, and let the rest sort itself out.

Also, I don’t just want two running backs, I want a UTE, too.

If you are trying to get a receiver I would think you just draft a WR

Colts would be actually foolish to sign carr or JG.

Is it really desperate to move up to grab your franchise QB? If one is there and you think he can be had for the right price, any team in the nfl does that move.

Did Ballard get fired?
Totally out of character for him, and I give it a one in a million chance.
But hey, you got your chance.

Spoiler alert - massive humble brag at 1:10. I really want Claypool to break out next year but I do not think I would enjoy having a beer with the dude.

He talks like he already made it in the NFL

Exactly. I’m not trying to get a receiver, so let’s try to avoid reductionism, shall we?

Why get an offensive weapon that can only play one position, when you can get something with the dimensionality to be moved all over the formation with success? Exactly.

Bijan transcends classification as just a running back.

If the Bears wanted to draft a QB, they would pretty much have to trade Fields before the draft. You can't depend on a draft day trade, and Field's value goes way down after the draft because 1. Teams have their new QBs and 2. because teams know for 100% certain that Fields must be traded because no chance both can rostered by the start of training camp.

There is just too much risk is waiting to trade to Fields, so I don't think anyone is going to fall for the bluff.

If you are ready to compete now then a vet QB is the way to go. But my whole point is Colts arent really ready to compete now.

It would be desperate for the Coltd to overpay. My point is use Irsay's potential desparation against. I dont want to trade our pick for the right price. I want to trade it for an exorbitant price with the right price being the fall back if no one is desparate enough to pull the trigger.

No, because we're not one pick away from winning. We need a lot of players. And there is extreme value at #1/#2. AND we don't need a QB.

We need GREAT players. Not a lot of players.
