I love Mike McDaniels and hope he does well. He's quite the character and frankly, football needs more coaches like him that aren't boring and say the same cliches every answer.

I'm probably in the minority but I think it's dumb to not say where an offensive lineman is going to play (when you know he's playing Sunday) or who is going to be the kick or punt returner if you know who it is going to be. They'll be tricked for exactly 1 play, wow, game changer.

It's 2 things imo:

1) At this level, if you have even the slightest opportunity to make your opponent have to not only think about, but spend time preparing for more stuff week to week, you take advantage of that.

2) Personnel-wise on every play you're scripting, match ups mean so much. You know each team scouts/prepares and tries to run through match ups down to the minutia... Why not keep the other side guessing?

Meh, I guess but it's still only 1 play and with it being the first play of the game, the chances are pretty high of both teams being in a base formation anyway.

Hahaha he had a few bad snaps against Aaron Donald.

Poles wanted him and wasn’t able to get him. How am I a **** for being disappointed Poles couldn’t get one of the few good players they targeted in FA?

If he is as bad as you are insinuating, you should be calling Poles a **** for offering him a contract that would guarantee him almost $9 million.

The dumbass meatball “fans” on here are hilarious.

I like how you "think" Bates is a good player only because Poles couldn't get him

You had no idea who Bates was before this offseason
