...and further, they love getting themselves worked up for some reason by continuing to ask.

You should've heard Potash today, it was ridiculous. And it went beyond the media just asking in the normal course of biz, MP sounded maniacal.

Potash throws fastballs.
I don't think it is about tricking anyone, but more the game preparation, an OL or PR obviously doesn't require the same prep as QB or a Quin/Mack type edge rusher, but I imagine it is just a policy. Personally IDGAF what they say, as long as it doesn't include "really neat" or "whys", more concerned with what they do.
and that’s real

And at least last night the Bills were able to shut down the run. That type of the 4-2-5 defense is what more and more NFL defenses are going to.............Bears included. When you are in this defense over 80% of the time, shouldn't it be considered your base???
The whole concept of base defense is more of a fan construct than anything else

And not the same as scheme at all

So we are just going into week one with 52 and 15 on the practice squad? This must be a money move and the plan is to bring them back I guess. Probably has to do with guarantees.

I’d rather they re-sign Tonga from the ATL PS. Pennell is a 31 journeyman and Tonga is 26 and was on a 7th rounder 4 yr contract. That move made no sense to me.

I really liked the Watts signing but they replaced the wrong DT imo.

He really flashed during preseason. Somehow I missed the news he would be on IR all year but now he gone.

Technically he can rejoin the Bears but not until mid season. When it came down to it, I think they were looking for someone more athletic that far down the depth chart at WR and found it with Ihmir Smith-Marsette.

I don’t think Sharpe played ST, right?

Pennell, yes, this is probably a veteran salary guarantee thing. Vested veterans on the week-one roster have their season’s salary guaranteed. If the Bears resign him next week, his salary is only 25% guaranteed. He obviously wasn’t going to be active this week, so they probably decided to give his season’s salary guarantee a haircut. But he has to feel like he’s Not-For-Long with the Bears if they’re looking to save a few guaranteed salary $$$ on his vet-minimum contract. Ironically, he does get his week-one check since he was on the roster after Tuesday.

The Kamara cut just seems like routine PS roster churn...

If Patrick can't reliably snap, the bear might need the spot to bring up a C from the PS to backup anyway. You really don't want to be moving Whitehair if Mustifer gets a ding.

I love Mike McDaniels and hope he does well. He's quite the character and frankly, football needs more coaches like him that aren't boring and say the same cliches every answer.
Well, a coach that is entertaining for fans isn't necessarily great for teaching football or organizing a team

Makes me think of teachers in high school. The cool, funny teacher was a good time, but usually not great for learning.
