I just don't understand the mindset of wanting to do the young GM who has only worked in one organization paired with likely an older retread defensive minded head coach. They literally just did that and watched it not work. Why do it again?

This is a non-sequitur. The fact it didnt work before with completely unrelated people doesnt mean it wont work now. It would be like saying why draft Fields when OSU QBs have failed before.

It’s not the plan that was wrong. It was the choices…

Poles needs Khan. You can’t keep putting these young guys in this position of doing two jobs. This is why Pace failed he was to distracted. A young basically president of ops/gm doesn’t need an old HC he needs an experienced back office mentor.

Pace failed because he picked Trubisky over Mahomes. That alone would have made up for all the other mistakes.

I agree about Khan though. Would be a great pairing

I think the two I find most intriguing are Eliot Wolf and Morocco Brown. I would be fine with either of those guys as they have many years of experience in several organizations.

I just really don't like the idea of Poles because he is the least experienced of the remaining group and he has only ever worked with the Chiefs. I know that he lasted under a couple different GMs there, but those did not appear to be in higher decision making positions. I don't know, it just feels like a reach to go for him and he's seems just a bit too young and inexperienced for what I believe it will take to "fix" the Bears.

Lol cant just make up shit and pretend it is facts. How do you know why Pace failed? How did doing 2 roles for example cause him to rank Trubisky over Mahomes?

Like what? Having to do contracts means he forgot how to evaluate or scout QBs?

Pace failed because thought the Andy Reid offense could be run by anyone. There's no doubt in my mind a Nagy-Mahomes combination would put the Bears in the same situation they are now.

Maybe if he wasn’t in 30 meetings about cafeteria scheduling he would have had more time to scout? I’m not in the building I just know a young guy with minimal experience and to much responsibility usually leads to collapse and mistakes, like Trubisky over Mahomes.

That’s probably thread worthy. Would Mahomes be able to overcome Nagy?
