Justin Fields Might Not Be Safe As The Bears' Future QB

Justiin Fields felt like one of the obvious untouchable players going into the offseason. Yet there are warning signs this isn't the case.

"A source indicated that some candidates the Bears have met with thus far stated they weren’t overly high on Fields. They had different ideas about what direction to go at quarterback."

I like the Schoen, Daboll, Frazier hires. The Bills sucked and were visibly turned around. Yes it takes a QB to do that but these guys have proven they can turn around a shit team.

Flores seemed like he was getting there but lost the team.

For now, for me, I'm on the Bills train.

Daboll for HC and Frazier for asistant HC.

Love my Bears, but if they trade Fields and draft capital for Watson, I will be furious as ****. If they trade him with no answer at QB, it would be a dagger for a while for me also. I would have a hard time buying into it without that position addressed. Fields was my fav college QB and I wanted him over all others in the draft. That one would sting.

I understand the allegations against Watson and it looks like he is a POS. Unlike some I can separate personal from professional. I can root for the player and not the person. We need some fucking QB play. Watsons cases likely all get dropped. Hard to think 20+ is a smear campaign.

My bias choice is ride it out with Fields. So much potential there and thus far is not a lunatic off of the field. If straight up Fields for Watson, we at least know what Watson is (top 5).

This also likely means Smith and Flores.

Tough to really image the Bears would hire someone who's not on board with Fields. If they took on a big vert QB contract there's not a whole lot else they could do to improve the team unless they got like a whole draft for Fields.

It goes withouts saying that I could be wrong and I hope I am wrong. But I believe it would have leaked by now (despite Harbaugh not having an agent).

With as many candidates as they are interviewing, I would think the ones that have indicated they would trade Fields would be then easy to weed out and narrow down the search.
