Sources say Lakers have plans to go after Dwight Howard AND CP3. Everyone not named Kobe is available.

don't know how it happens.

Other than kobe, the only attractive pieces they have is Gasol and Bynum. Odom is declining and aging.

They might be able to get Howard for Bynum + Odom + another bench guy + picks.

But do they hornets trade Paul for Gasol + Artest and like blake or some shit? Doubt it

Caron Butler's meeting went so well with the Clippers that he is having another one.

Great!
The Lakers will get Howard and CP3
The Clippers will get Butler.

And Bogans will be the starting shooting guard.

Yup!!!!!!! Stand Pat Pax strikes again.

Can't stop people from meeting with other teams and can't stop other teams from making moves.

We just go to Plan B if Butler doesn't sign.

Who knows, he may be pulling a hit & run on LAC, like Wade did us in summer 2010. :shifty: :D

I cant see the Lakers gettign both of them. I honestly dont think Bynum is this big that everyone is trying to get their hands on. He's never healthy and has zero maturity. Not what i would want in return for my franchise player.

Gasol, Mr Kardashian, these guys are up there in age. Still have some left in the tank but you would think you would want guys who have years of prime basketball left.

I wish I had a video or audio rcording of PaxGar interviewing players...I want to know what they say that pushes them to sign with other teams...or maybe its what they don't say...

Yeah, ya gotta wonder. I think that "maybe" they got Butler on the verge of signing....he just needed to show the other teams respect for their interest in him by going through with the other meetings.

Now, the 2nd meeting with the Clippers didn't shock me though. They will more than likely cut Ryan Gomes out through amnesty so they would need a new starter at SF. Are they really going to get him.......I don't really know.

I'd like to think after openly saying Chicago is 1st on the list ("I hope I don't have to leave" - Caron Butler), LAC is 2nd. He will still be more inclined to join the Bulls. Time will tell.

Not sure about that. Only thing I know is 9th they can sign. If what you say is true. Good news to me. We'll hopefully hear more details on players & where they could be headed sooner due to that.

I know that yesterday and today teams were allowed to talk to players but they weren't allowed to come to any verbal ar written agreements.

I'm pretty sure that I heard they can start offering contracts tmrw but they can't sign until friday

That's great then. Only helps cut the time down for all of us waiting & hoping the FO makes a smart move to get us a viable option at SG.

Hearing most likely scenario w/amnesty clause is teams getting seven-day window between Dec. 9-25 to use it or carry it into 2012 offseason

ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein
But the specific seven days during which teams will be able to amnesty player before THIS season, at last report, still being negotiated

ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein
NBA sked to be announced in full tonight but trade deadline not yet revealed. Same thing: Deadline is B-list issue still being negotiated

Stephen A Smith: Btw...I know I said Tracy McGrady may go to Chicago. But now I'm hearing they don't want to offer the $$$. That means he'll head to Atlanta.

How much does McGrady reasonably expect to get out of teams?

He's beyond washed up.
