And he hasn't woke up from that dream yet?
Nah, he still thinks its 2001 & he's in the running already for the next MVP.
And he hasn't woke up from that dream yet?
I get the feeling that they'd take a pay cut. You can complain about the MLE all you like, but if players are actually willing to make that sacrifice to get a ring, then there's nothing the league can do. If 9 million dollar talent agrees to play for 3 million, what can you do? I just hope that some of that talent goes our way instead of Miami's...but maybe I'm just a dreamer....
Yeah I tend to agree, but at the same time, without the MLE, the Bulls can't improve either. Double edged sword. If the owners don't cave on MLE restrictions, then Miami only has $3mill max to offer anyone. They would have to go a sign & trade route to bring in anyone decent, which they can't because they only have, I believe, 7 players under contract. It is going to make a huge difference during this FA frenzy. But the extend & trade is the worst. I am still floored that the owners gave up on that. No player should be awarded with a gargantuan raise for forcing his team to trade him away for lesser talent. And it is going to happen with both Paul & Howard & possibly D-Will this season.
I hope the Bulls land something decent because it isn't making sense that players are seemingly shunning this team to play for teams that have no chance.
The Clippers? Seriously?
Adrian Wojnarowski: The Spurs have decided to use the amnesty clause on contract of Richard Jefferson, league sources tell Y! Sports. He has 3 years, $30M left.
MLE Jefferson, 1 season? Yeah, I can live with that. I want better, but I could live with that.
He wont make it off waivers
I admit, I need to re-read the amnesty pickup rules. Why wouldn't we be able to pick him up exactly?
from what I heard, teams with cap room get the first bid.
Teams with cap room are usually the teams that aren't that great.
so if those teams don't want him, then that's when the good teams will come in and offer a vet min.
Oh, yeah. I understand the waiver priorities. I thought it might have to do with his contract.
